What about this package from PowerHouse Fitness?

Use the code WINTER10 to get 10% off and go through FatCheese.ie to get an additional 10% off.

The above package should come to £648.69 including the £42 delivery to Ireland - or about 780 euro.

Unfortunately since change of ownership it has seemed to have gone down hill. I have referred several to this company but this week is going to be the last time. Have a client who ordered 140kg of plates, an oly bar and bench 2 weeks ago. After phone calls everyday he finally got his delivery 2 days ago...minus the bench! Really poor customer service and it is such a pity coz the company had developed so well over the past 4 years

That is poor service to be fair.

I have bought some items from IL since Mick left and the guy I dealt with was really nice and I got the goods with no issues.

It could be just teething problems and they need a month or tow to get up an running.
But it is clear that they should hurry up about it as the goodwill is diminishing rapidly.

Pretty sure it changed hands more than a couple of months ago. I've seen enough complaints here in the last few months to have become cautious about it. It'll be a real pity if a good business like IL goes downhill.

Very sorry to hear that things have gone downhill since I sold in October, the 2 lads who took over were thrown in at the deep end and are obviously struggling to keep up. I have told them about this so hopefully they can get on top of it. I worked really hard for 4 years setting up the company but I'm launching a new piece of gym equipment in the states so selling was something I had to do...

Hi bobbyjones am one of the lads who has taken over from Mick, if you give me a call after 12 today or try resending the email I will get straight back to you as I have had no email in from you. Thanks

    Hi Mickk,

probably off thread but I and Im sure a lot of the other posters and lurkers around here wouldnt mind hearing about this piece of equipment and the story behind its creation, think you were driving around China at one stage looking for suppliers :D

For the record, I've never had any problems with ordering off of them, even my last order which was a few weeks ago. Hopefully they can smooth the ship because its a nice website and one Ive ordered off of with great faith over the years.

Just an update on my client. Got the bench on Friday and its the wrong bench (given 1 for dumbbells not bench press) . That's a basic mistake. That's embarrassing for me coz I have recommended this site so many times and its now 2 weeks for him without the proper equipment.
Being honest I'm writing this here coz everytime I have emailed in the last 3months I have never got a reply!

PS when Mick owned it he was an absolute genre to work with, couldn't ask for better service

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10 BobbyJones

Have to agree with you on this since Mick left its gone downhill. Not sure how they expect to run a business not answering the phone or replying to customers. Bought some KB's off this website previously & Mark the owner is very good to deal with.

    Also, look at http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk.

I ordered my Power Rack, Bench, 235kg Olympic weightset and a few other small items from them.

They sent 185kg instead of 235kg weights because the 25kg plates were out of stock. I contacted them and they told me they wouldn't be in for 2 weeks so gave me the option of waiting two weeks or ordering 50kg of plates in different sizes.

Very upsetting to see what I worked so hard to build up going down hill, I don't understand it but there isn't much I can do if they aren't answering the phone, I have said it to them a few times... I do know there is a big container with all the machines (racks, benches ect.) that came into Dublin on Friday so hopefully that will clear anyone who is waiting for stuff.

@MrMatisse: Give me about 3 weeks and I will put up the commercial of the new product I've been working on, the videos starring me of course :D

This Container has been coming into Dublin since the end of February, hard to believe them when you're told the same thing each month

"Seems crazy to brand all Irish retailers withe the same brush "

You are correct ,,,but I tried to purchase the equipment through any Irish company I could find for 7 months. I usually ended up with no reply or the incorrect answer for the question's asked so I honestly can say if any body is ever setting up a home gym just purchase from abroad ...dont bother wasting your time looking around here

You should have just bought from Irish Lifting or perhaps just joined a gym :D
