    Biddy's Day- Spring Cleaning

reinforcing gender stereotypes since we found christianity.

    Ah yes!

Today is the day I start buying Christmas presents - won't be long until the short days and long nights start creeping in again.

From what I remember, it usually snows in Feb in Dublin, if only for a day...
So if it didn't snow over Nov-Dec-Jan, you should expect some in Feb.
Its freezing anyway. December was much warmer than this!

Ironic that tomorrow is the day of rebirth and will more than likely be the day my dog is euthanised. He's in a cage at the moment unable to move his hind legs and has urinary retention, he's paralysed, probably due to damaged nerves and has two dislocated hips. Some bastard ran him over.

And tomorrow is the day he will probably be put to sleep.

But in reality it still the coldest time of the year, so it should be winter.

I just can't wait for the Summer.
We've often had worse Springs than Winters in Dublin anyway so I'm not getting too excited just yet.
Just wait thought till those 3 days during the Summer we always get when you can feel the Suns heat even early in the mornings.

Oh god, I really do hate the Winter. I've been looking into ideal countries to move to where I can get about 8 months sunshine.
I think I can put up with 2-3 months of ****ty weather but this idea of more than half the year being ****e I don't think I can deal with for the rest of my life. If I could delete Winter I'd do it in a flash.

You'd be surprised. You've been trotting about AH for a while now. Strutting about in those tights pants someone was bound to notice

You know you've made AH fame when you get yourself a clone, they usually seem to target the mods I've noticed.

Ah St Bridgets Day, a good excuse to do a bit of practice drinking in time for St Patricks Day. Careful though, it's tradition that you can only drink while eating boxty and making St Bridgets Crosses (both of which I can make but, which I found out the hard way, not at the same time).

Ok stop it, all of you. Spring starts on March 21st. Some ridiculous Celtic calendar from years ago thinks Spring starts on 1st Feb but it clearly doesn't.

SPRING STARTS ON MARCH TWENTY F**KING FIRST

All the schools I went to were named after St Brigid so this was always like a holiday for us, we made stupid crosses and listened to the same 3 stories over and over again

June 21st they say. But the Met office here in the UK officially say that Spring is 1st March, Summer 1st June, Autumn 1st Sept etc.

21st though was how it was traditionally, throughout the years.
