    Hi

Does anyone have any suggestions for where I could get a power adapter for a Reebok Premier series exercise bike - model REO-11201 (photo attached).

Have tried the obvious places.. reebok website, ebay, jjb (where I bought it).

    Any help appreciated.

The best thing to do is to buy a multivoltage power adapter and set it up to suit.

On the bike where the power adapter plugs in, there will be a sticker with a rating: Something like 6VDC: 500mA or something like that.

Let me know what that is and I will recommend a power adapter for you.

    Mike.

    Thanks Mike

Unfortunately it doesn't say on the bike what the rating is. I'd get the multi-voltage adapter anyway, assuming they aren't too expensive, and see which one works / fits best - do they come with different sized fittings (the piece that plugs into the bike)?

Do you know where I can get one in Ireland - had a quick search online and it was mainly ebay, amazon and online stores that came up.

    Cheers

You'd get one in Maplin, radionics in Rialto, or Peats. Be prepared to pay way over the odds for one retail.

You will need to know what voltage & what way the little plug is orientated.

    Thanks for that, very useful.
Don't know the voltage, have mailed reebok to find out but haven't heard anything back from them.
I've attached a photo of the socket on the bike if you can judge anything by it.
    Cheers

Can't tell from the socket but I would guess that it is probable something between 3 and 6 VDC @ 200mA.

If you go into Maplin and ask for a 'Multi-voltage, Multi adapter, Power supply. Up to 12 VDC and 1000mA'.

I would be 99% sure that you are covered with that.

When you get it, find the 'tip' that fits best and fit it to the power supply. 'Centre pin = positive (+).

Then, put the power supply to the lowest setting (probably 3V) and try it. If it works, great, if it doesn't, turn it up to the next setting (4.5 or 6 V or whatever). Continue until it works.

DO NOT START AT THE HIGHEST SETTING, as you could damage the electronics on the bike.

    Mike.
