    I didnt even bring the trailer. I think mostly buyers buying for clients to be honest.

    just back calf prices well back on the last time i was there... fr bulls from 60 to 220 , i got 150... saw a bb bull make 515 and an angus bull €275, was about 60 calves there... nearly all fr... didnt see them all being sold, some very poor calves there

    fr bull calves seem to be back bout 50 a head from the last few weeks the big numbers will be out in the next few weeks id say around 150 will be the general run ,

    Maybe the market is turning;) Should be plenty of calves up for sale in the coming weeks. The principle of supply & demand will call the shots again.

    i had 5 calls from lads looking for calves ,3 of them lost calves at calving , i sold 3 bulls that were born at the weekend for 180 they were only 4 days old didnt want to see a lad stuck

    Thke that the average Fr bull is 200 and Ch is 440 euro which is the most profitable killing as a bull at 22 months and as a bullock at 30 months

    2 (only 2!) aax bulls in Cahir Mart Wed made €365 each.
    Fr bulls €130-250 depending on age/quality, but back a good bit.

    got €120 each for 2 fr bulls 10 days old.... saw a sim bull €585 about a month old, fantastic calf, ****ty fr bulls €30, some of these where scouring in the ring:eek: jersey cross €20 fr bul calves from 80 -200 , didnt see any angus being sold, blue bull 1 week old €200

    What marts that in whelan ? would those at 30 euro live even? does there be many calves in it??

    ardee, the €30 calves where bad, where under a week i reckon, straw thing still hanging on navel, another week would have turned them inside out along with a bit of tlc

    That BB would have been a good buy at €200

    Seems the prices are back now, due to volume of calves and also the quote. I couldnt believe the difference in prices in 1 week in the same mart.

    I hope the beef prices and milk prices stay up though there are lots of families depending on it

    That jersey made money for noone only the mart. Was better shot.
    Whitehead at that price will be hard made into much too.
