Well it was bound to happen so here's the latest offering from the money hungry FAI in association with Umbro. Strangley missing a sponsor but no doubt that will change when it hits the shops.

Oh yeah, and it looks as shite as the home one.

I like it. Of course the sponsor's logo and the hideous FAI crest means I'll not be buying it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,711 ✭✭✭keano_afc

Eh, I actually like it. Before that horrendous "3" is put on the front mind you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,891 ✭✭✭✭Nalz

Not the worse to be honest, although I agree the 3 will make it look manky!

Yip, that shirt looks nice but slap this dirty thing on the supporters version...

    and then, not so nice.

Rotten, there hasn't been a decent ireland jersey in at least 10 years

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,919 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

I could see my mid-50s oul lad loving it, perfect design for that age bracket

They actually paid someone to design this?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

If it was the same as the last england jersey, desgin wise that is, i'd like it.

    images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTl226nlHL6Z2IrWHXtYAaG1nY8TDfVw4MDJs0P64cAgeiMzwEnSg

In Green minus, England Crest and minus huge " 3 " Logo, it would be the business.

    Nice and retro.

It's like Ireland have a special dispensation to differ from the current minimal Umbro designs.

The horrible LoI /Ireland combo shirts they just brought out would actually be fine as the national shirt, minus the other crest and of course, no sponsor logo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,128 ✭✭✭Staplor

Is it just me or does the 10 look a bit bogey there under the Umbro logo?

The black one without the sponsor is nice I think.

I demand a big orange 3 on the front.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,351 ✭✭✭Orando Broom

Is there any concerted way of forcing the FAI to sell the kits without the logos?

Hell I'd even pay and extra tenner for the privilage.

We're the only country who does this!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,775 ✭✭✭✭kfallon

Any idea when this is due out?

*throws current Ireland away kit in bin*

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,808 ✭✭✭Caveman1

Is that actually the official away jersey? Its horrible

Why Why Why can they not just release a slick enough looking Ireland jersey? This looks absolutely terrible, the sort of jersey some balding fat guy who goes Dalymount every Friday says 'could wear with jeans and my nike' down the pub(I follow Bohs so not dissing). I dont wear football jerseys anymore except odd time playing footie, but if Ireland had a good jersey and it being a competition year I'd wear it away on holiday if it was a nice light jersey, something to show off the old physique yano what I mean.

Its gas how overboard people go in their reactions to pretty standard looking jerseys.

"OMG its like so disguting makes me want to vomit and cry so much"

Seriously, its a white top with a green stripe, hardly a lady gaga inspired creation. I think all the recent Ireland jerseys have been nice enough.

It's a discussion and peoples opinions, not that black and white! I agree its plain and not that horrible as people make out, but that's just my opinion. Not that gas that others disagree.

Its not that the jersey is ugly, its the design of it, I just don't like that type of jersey at all, reminds me of playing under 10s football. It could just be that it looks about 5 sizes too big for me

    I really like it.:o

Is there a bloodstained Richard Dunne version? That's the only way I'd consider buying it.

If absolutly no body buys any of the branded replica kits, training gear, casual clothing, etc etc.

Love to know how many people dont buy ireland jerseys vs those who do. (Sponsor issue)

Dont see many of them around compared to other jerseys.

nice jersey but wouldnt buy one with that logo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,077 ✭✭✭✭eh i dunno

Like it myself. Plain and simple is the way forward. Hate the home one though

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,543 ✭✭✭JerryHandbag

So thats what they'll be wearing in the miracle 1-0 win over Spain ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,466 ✭✭✭tim_holsters

Black kits are the worst kits of all, good riddance. Bad for anyone who bought one of course, we really only wore it once?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,113 ✭✭✭Lumbo

So thats what they'll be wearing in the miracle 1-0 win over Spain ;)

They'll be racing out to get "Joxer 12" printed on the back when that happens.

The Sun have a picture up with the 3 logo on it on Facebook. I still like it!

    20210-large.jpg

looks daycent enough, at least they've made the "3" the right size.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,775 ✭✭✭✭kfallon

From the OP's pictures it looks like it's still the cotton type material in the jersey (look at the end of the jersey) rather than polyester. Not overly keen on that :(
