My diet - protein, snacking et al

    Hi guys,

Just looking for some general advice and ideas on my diet, especially in relation to nutrition & protein.

I am 5 foot 8, 9 st 10lbs. regularly exercising in the gym, going for the lean muscle look.
Ideally I'd like to get closer to 10st but again that's of of lean muscle.
I'm skinny so have a naturally low body fat %.

Given my current weight how much protein should I get eating a day? I thought I read somewhere of 1.5g protein per kg of weight?

Is it true than your body only absorbs protein at a rate of 30g over a two hour period? If true is the rest lost or does it just wait it turn?
Should I be spacing my protein intake out over the day?

I have a newborn in the house so getting to train is tougher than it used to be, set days and times are now thrown out the window. Beacuse my routine has become more haphazard, people visiting etc, I've found myself snacking a bit more in the evenings, tea, biscuits etc. This is really bugging me......

What can I replace this snacking with that will both satisfy my cravings but also give me a decent shot of protein.

I have lots of questions really but will try these for a start!

    Thanks in advance.
