Help with Knee Injury!!!

Was playing indoor soccer last night and while in goal my knee popped when i dived, when I stood up I felt the pain but upon straighting my leg I heard it pop back(sound when you crack a knuckle but louder), had a slight pain after it popped back in but had no problems with movement.

Continued playing(bad idea on reflection), and while running I slighlty slipped and my knee popped again, this time however it wouldn't pop back and I was in quite a bit of pain and had little movement, I couldn't straighten my leg. After a while i sat down(less pain while sitting position and more movement) and it popped back in again but within the sound this time, I stood up and had full movement again and very little pain.

I iced it that night and today its a bit swollen, uncomfortable and stiff as expected.

I haven't done much exercises over the winter, so is it a case of the muscles just need more work. The hurling season starts soon, is this an injury that will effect me. Is it worth a visit to the doctor or just rest it for a while, then when it feels good, start specific exercises then.
