    That's not totally accurate.

Once a week Gordon dresses up as a hobo and goes rooting around in there while shouting at anyone who gets within 6 feet of him.

The things about beards is they appear without any thought on the matter. My friends dad is an absolute ****, but that's not what I'm getting at here, its the beard. It there one minute and the next its gone? I don't understand it and I don't think it's something any of us will ever really fully understand as to why it is as such.
There are so many wonders in life that one must wander to find the answers.
I remember being in a Biology seminar and the conclusion was that we knew some, but more we didn't. Fascinating really isn't.
Young Fago! there for example, probably will be doing the leaving cert in June and there's a whole world of knowledge he needs to learn before that. But more important than memorising it all is that he actually understands it.
I wonder if there is a connection between the knowledge we've gained and beards we've grown. Proportionately I'm talk about there, or here rather.
When I was 5, I had very little beard to be perfectly honest, now 20 years later its growing on the dot every hour, I can feel it growing inside me. It's almost as if I'm becoming one with nature. Plants grow, trees grow...beard --> grow.
See science isn't something to be afraid of. It's not going to hunt you down in the middle of a storm and attack you or your beard for that matter Sam. No, it's something we can all embrace. Not that we have much of a choice anyway, it's seems to be taking over the world. Even my typewriter some day will be replaced by some sort of a print press machine. Mark my words on that one Chuck.
Back to beards though, you can shave them off and what happens...they grow back in half the time, right. Yes. Shave it again and what happens, it grows back again in the the time. It's incredible. That's the reason why I think we should be embracing science. You can ignore it and it will still be there in front of the mirror looking back at you. Chop it off. Then the next days there's twice as much science there looking at you, am I right? I am.
But there's more to beard than just science. There's politics too. Your beard makes a huge statement for your plans. Like Hitler, his upper lip straight symmetrical beard said, "I'm a simple practical sort of guy, who wants to get things done neat and tidy". Then you have Chuck Norris, his beard says, "Hi, I appear a lot" which is completely true.
I want my beard to say, "Now there's a lad with his shoulders on right". I think it will when it's grown.
You can also have hair in other places too Sam, but this isn't referred to as "beard", no, this is referred to as "pubic hair". You can find pubic hair anywhere on the body, except for the beard area, that's just called beard I'm afraid. You first get pubic hair on your head as an infant, it varies from person to person. However there will be more pubic hair appearing all over the body at about the age of 18.
It tends to be a more vigorous material than the pubic hair found on the head. This is how we would have looked 100 years ago before we advanced.

    Episode_4_Han_Solo_and_Chewbacca_1.jpg
On my right you see how we look today, but on my left is what quite possibly and very probably what your great grand fathers would have look like. A simpler time before we began we're leather. Some believe it's the leather that stopped the pubic hair from growing. You see leather is very similar to our skin, so our bodies began to believe that there was an outer layer of skin taking care of the pubic hair, so our actual skin stopped producing it.
It's all fascinating stuff but I'll leave it there for now, don't be afraid to PM any questions you have about beards, science or pubes. I'm something of an expert in the area and would love for people to take more of an interest in the area, it's a truly fascinating subject.
