Is anyone having trouble installing win 64 bit 7 SP1 similar to this. Wondering if it is worth all that hassle but it won't install on my Medion PC with win 7 Home Premium

shouldnt be that hard, are you experiencing all of those issues post install or just similar issues?

where did you get your install media?

any chance youve got a funky hard drive?

Try the standalone installation of SP1.
Line sourced from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5842 so it's genuine.

i'd try mp22 link first, let the readiness tool work, it may takes hours apon hours to run but let it finish.

then try install a downloaded copy of sp1.

if that fails, the only other way i have being able to sort out the problem is a repair installation, the link should help for that method.
