I'm in the process of trading in my crappy car for a better one. Getting all the bits and pieces together now-paperwork etc. Go to my desk to find my log book which I only saw a week previously and it has vanished. I have torn the place apart looking for it. Vanished. Cannot understand it.

So boardsies, what items have suddenly vanished on you without a trace?

Many, many items of clothing. I'm beginning to think there is someone robbing them off the line at this stage.

I had a Jean Paul Gaultier cardigan disappear on me once. I literally just put it down for a minute, then walked off for four hours and when I got back it was gone. Go figure.

I once lost a good fork at home and it turned up about ten years later in my mums sewing kit in a different house.

    My dignity.

There I was striding powerfully across the pub, a man impressive in every detail except for the minor detail of not having zipped up my fly.

It was a cold pub. I did not impress the many who gazed upon my exposed pleasure area.

And *whoosh* like the cool breeze I felt on my genitals as I pushed through the front door of the pub my dignity was gone.....

I am convinced the only way to find what you're looking for is to STOP looking for it & start looking for something else. Once it sees you couldn't give a feck about it, it'll hop out looking for attention.

    Try it ;)

The tv remote control. Seriously, no idea where it went! Been looking for it for around a month now and nothing. It's not something you take out of the house so it's a mystery :(

I would always bring my PSP with me whenever I'm flying somewhere. Was going away there in September, PSP was on my bookshelf for about a year before hand. Seen it nearly everyday. Comes time to pack my stuff for going away. Gone. Still havent found it :(

Tore the room apart, looked in every possible area it could have been accidentaly moved to. Asked the family. Nobody seen it since the last time I went away.

I seem to have a habit of losing stuff like that. Lost my DS a few months before that and lost my old original (the huge one) GameBoy a few years ago. Losy my PS2 controller too. Just aswell I had a second one but its blue and my PS2 is black so doesnt look right.

All of them just vanished from my room. Dont know where they are going.

Make sure there's not a hole somewhere in your sofa/chair. Our remote went missing a while back and we turned the place upside down looking for it.

2 weeks later we discovered a hole in the side of the sofa and lo and behold, there was the remote, a 2 euro coin, 2 pens and and a gas bill.

Exactly the same here, lost it 2 months ago and cannot find it. Oddly enough, I don't really miss it, volume and mode switches on the front of the TV and does the job.

One page out of my notebook. The page with my bloody essay notes on it. How does one page disappear from a spiral-bound notebook?!

Eyeliner also vanished from my bag the other day.

I blame those pesky Klingons, robbing and analysing our stuff. There is a space-craft parked somewhere, maybe clamped or in Leitrim, with all of our stuff onboard. They’ll make a fortune if they ever organise a boot sale.
Personally, I check the address of sellers on eBay and, if it’s in Leitrim, I check Google Earth for large, circular, shiny objects in brown-green swamps. Fekkin space travellers....Day has deh nob off my washing machine, I tells ya. And day never say der prayers, you know!

have a two year old like a squirrel storing nuts for the winter. He hides everything he can get his hands on, nothing is safe- car keys, phones, to silly things like clips or a socks you left on the bed. Sometimes he confesses when you ask him, sometimes he just lets you stew. He is pretty good at hiding himself, when younger he would climb out of the cot and go to sleep under my bed, not good for the nerves when you went to the loo in the middle of the night and checked on him to find his cot empty:eek:

First place I looked; down the sides, looked for holes, heck even lifted the bloody thing to see if it was there. Found some money, plenty of hair bobbins and a few socks (how they got there is also a mystery!)

Same, it's not too bad but find I'll end up watching some crap show 'cause I'm not arsed getting up again to change the station. Makes channel surfing a little more difficult :(

I just got the image of that extremely obese woman someone posted about awhile back. She sat on a cat while getting, erm, "pleasured" by her partner. Didn't realise for a few hours until she finally got up to find it suffocated. Please remote control...don't tell me you went the same way :(
