Really? I would agree wholeheartedly with this. Different type of players, but imo one is top class and the other is, as Dunphy would say, a 'brainless winger'.

There is some truth in that one. Liverpool had a better points per game average (over a period of six or seven years) from games that Gerrard missed than there was from the games he played, but when cup games over the same period were added, then Liverpool had a better record with him in the team than when he was out.

Think it was compiled by Opta or similar.
