I think more people are interested in Brodus Clay than Jericho after the last few weeks :pac:

I had a dream last night Jericho spoke. He did the whole pandering to the crowd thing, and the crowd was dead, so in response he tore them a new one.

I should be a writer for WWE.

I love how CM Punk keeps bringing real life issues into the rivalry with Laurinitis. Comparing him to his brother, calling him a yes man, etc. I'm almost starting to believe there is real life tension between these two which always makes this even more heated.

Looking forward to seenig what happens when I watch this tomorrow. And of course Royal Rumble is my favourite ppv anyhow!

Is CM Punk writing his own promo material, or is it all handed to him?

In an exclusive interview, Animal told WWE.com that his brother’s vendetta against The Second City Saint is relatively easy to explain. Whereas Punk has reached the uppermost echelon in sports entertainment – the WWE Championship – Laurinaitis, an accomplished grappler in his own right, was never able to parlay his success overseas into a main event slot in the U.S.
“It’s one thing to be popular in Japan, and it’s another to make it in the U.S.,” Animal said. “That’s one thing that eats John from the inside, deep in his gut. I think he carries animosity over that, because he never got to be ‘the guy’ in the U.S. the way that CM Punk is today. I think he’s getting on Punk’s case because Punk is living the dream that John wishes he could have accomplished.”

WWE adding layers to Big Johnny character.. Brilliant imo.. They should acknowledge that on TV..

I'm predicting this will end up in a tag at the end of the show.

    Mr. Laurinaitis saved that segment.

    Psychic! :pac:

Doing an all-nighter, so I figured I might as well watch this.

Swagger and Ziggler were just so uninspiring on the mike there. Almost put me to sleep. Punk and Cena weren't much better and Laurinaitus really has a bad voice, its like he's been a chain-smoker his whole life. Really calling him Laryngitis is rather accurate.

`just back from the pub. what happened? why am i watching a tag match?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 846 ✭✭✭MAJR

I saw that screw job coming from a mile away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,705 ✭✭✭Mr Trade In

I don't care what anyone says, they are still finding ways of keeping this fresh week in week out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,787 ✭✭✭Jayob10

Punk " You seem to have an infinity for Ziggler" :D

    presuming he meant affinity

Basiclly Punk started the night have a go at Laurinaitis, Cena interrupted him to have a go at Laurinaitis on Ryder's behalf then Laurinaitis interrupted and said he wouldn't be intimidated and made a few matches. I wasn't paying attention to the what match he put Ryder in but the other match was the obvious tag match with Punk and Cena.

Why do I watch wrestling knowing it now bores me... :pac:

But am I alone on not liking Punk?
Used to like him. But the way that whole leaving wwe with the title was handled... kinda just put me off him.

Why does Adam Sandler keep making movies like that "Jack and Jill" thing :(

Isn't he kind of being a Rebel without a cause at the moment? I mean, sure he's got Laurinaitis as an adversary but when Punk was at his hottest last year it was when he was rebelling against the WWE and the guy representing the WWE at the time was bastion of the old order Triple H. Now Punk's no longer rebelling against the company and the authority figure he's opposing is a guy smart marks hate but without a big on-screen presence similar to Triple H.

Punk and Dolph are going to put on a fantastic match come Sunday going by their brief locking up there.

WWE doing a good job at delveloping the Jericho egotistical "character"

I quote that as its not really a character with him :pac:

Bet he is first out on Sunday and he jumps the rope himself.

Really? My feeling is that he's not even going to get to the ring. The lights'll go out, his jacket will be seen flashing then the ligths'll come on and the only thing on the stage will be his jacket.

I love the stats. They're generally pointless but stats are always cool.

I'm conflicted between wanting Jericho to win it and for him to simply stroll across the ring then just hop over the rope on the other side.

Really hoping Kane is in the Rumble, if only just to get a few more eliminations and stretch that appearance streak he has.

what's this about 'every' superstar is eligible? They cut to Punk as she said it too......

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,600 ✭✭✭✭CMpunked

Interesting thing to mention in that video; said for the first time in history any superstar can enter.

My guess is Jericho will cause Punk to lose and two of them will be the final 2 in the RR match. Jericho wins and punks wins back the title at EC.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 846 ✭✭✭MAJR

Kane really doesn't look right in mainly black wrestling gear. Should have stuck with the predominant red theme.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,705 ✭✭✭Mr Trade In

Punk and Bryan flashed on screen, could be a sneaky way for a unification match.

So long as Michael Cole doesn't enter the Rumble I'll be satisfied.
