Anyone subscribe to Drive+ on YouTube? Not very impressed with it so far considering it's a paid channel.

In fairness you can see it coming!

He floored it through the corner. What an idiot. First thing you learn about a RWD car.
Pity to see Ferraris as nothing but playthings for rich tossers to wreck.

I have and I can't think of a better way to spend £2.49, the content is the same as the Drive channel last year they just need a way to fund making more videos.

It's £2.49 a month, or around £30 a year. I thought they would have longer videos etc. Maybe they will in time.

I understand that it's £30 for the year, I'm still happy to pay that for a similar amount of content as last year. The content they product is of good quality and cost money to make, I'm happy to fund it.

Video says $38,115,000 but the winning bid was $34,650,000?

Probably the auctioneer's commission. In this case ~10%. Some auction houses take from the seller, in this case the buyer takes the hit.

I was just thinking about the commission as the auction was on. Good job they went for a percentage. Mad money all the same.

How f*&king lucky is this guy!!!!

That is so freaky, it makes you wonder could it be fake?
Looks pretty real, but the sound is just wrong for some reason.

I thought it might be fake to but I was showing one of my customers who's a biker and he said one of his mates had a similar accident and the near exact same thing happened but he didn't land on his feet but was left hanging onto the roof and pretty much fine.

The physics of it do make some sense.

This one claims to be the original. I think you can hear the bike hitting the car.

I replayed that a few times now, just as he does that amazing gymnastic leap hand stand move. I'm kinda questioning the authenticity of it though, it just seems so perfect. Right on cue with the music, positioning of the cars, the stunt itself and reactions.

    That was fast. Lucky escape.

Jesus, does he have an anchor or what in that Subaru?

I'm still trying to figure out how he didn't go into the barrier after spinning.

Here's another from the red Subaru

    And from the blue Subaru

Serious quote there "Woah......didn't we do well...."

    Can't stop laughing at that.

I have to say I'm much more impressed with how the driver of the blue Subaru handled that, the black Subaru did great to keep it out of the barrier but he did end up just stamping on the anchors and waiting for the car to stop, how the blue one got around those cars is amazing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,964 ✭✭✭Sitec

    Such a nice sound.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,206 ✭✭✭Zcott

Yep, the guy in the blue Subaru stamped on the brakes but was smart enough not to lock them and run into the back of the older car. Good driving. And yes, we did do well.

    Speaking of nice sounds...

I'm not ashamed to admit it, but the Vauxhall sounds unreal there

Think the Charger is the best. The RS4 is OK too, I suppose :)

You can hear it spin a bearing about ten seconds before it goes...
