    So according to simplyshredded.com, I ''need about 30% of your total calories from fats, as research shows that athletes getting lower fat intake have lower testosterone levels.''

    ''A good portion of this should come from monounsaturated fats (olive oil, avocadoes, nuts) and omega-3 fats (salmon, trout). These fats are not readily stored as bodyfat, are easily burned for fuel during exercise and even stimulate the burning of bodyfat.
    Avoid trans fats at all cost, but be sure to get about 30% of total calories from fat with about 10% from saturated fat, 10% from monounsaturated fat and 10% from omega-3 fats
    .''

    This is news to me to be honest, I doubt my diet is anywhere near that big on the fats listed.

    Can anyone recommend the best foods to get high quantities of
    1. monounsaturated fats
    2. omega-3 fats
    3. Saturated fats

    whilst avoiding trans fats?

    Just to take you up on that point;

    Natural trans fats produced by ruminant animals such as dairy and beef cattle are not detrimental to health. In fact, they show significant positive health effects and some evidence even links these natural trans fats to reduced risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer.

    I have recently introduced grapeseed oil into my diet and have found it brilliant. Goes easily with salads or on meat or just take a swig of it!

    Remember Paleo Diet and Lifestyle would not be a good source to discover anything but what's good for Paleo! We need to be drawing our nutritional information from places that are independent otherwise we're going to lurch from fad to fad!

    As close as I was to being sucked in by Paleo, my pendulum approach saved me. Three cheers for moderation!!!

    …and in fairness to Wolf and Cordain, outside of their books, they’re not really trying to “sell” anything, which probably makes them a little bit more trustworthy.
