    200px-Manchester_City.svg.png V 150px-Tottenham_Hotspur.svg.png

A huge game at the ethiad stadium that could see spurs effectively knocked out of the title race or City knocked off the top should United win today.

Very nervous about this match, last few seasons this game has been very important for both teams and apart from last August has been a pretty tight affair in recent seasons.

    I'm going for a 2-2

    Expected spurs line up

    Friedel
    Walker--Kaboul--King--BAE
    Lennon--Parker--Modric--Bale
    VDV
    Defoe

    COYS

In a way I'm glad I won't see this game as I hate losing to 'Arry and can see this being a rough day out for City.

Would be fantastic to wake up in the morning and see that I've been proved wrong though.

No not definetly but he travelled with the squad and ..... rumour has it...

If he would just take my knees we would be serious contenders!

Very tricky match, as long as we(city) match united result today all is well.

Some rumors on city boards that they will play with 3 at the back. could make it interesting and that possibly lescott is out, just rumors though.

Hope you get up early for the game midweek though, and that I get the same happy feeling you brought to me in the last midweek cup game. ;)

As for today's game, well I cannot stand Redknapp and I hope that City are in serious goal scoring form as a result. Childish reason I know, but it works for me.:D

Think City winning and United being held to a draw would be the best outcome for my tatses today.

Jesus that's a strong line-up from City! Avoid defeat and I'll be happy! Even if Arsenal lose I'd be happy, can't afford to let Arsenal/Chelsea catch up at this stage, we have some very tricky games coming up..

Is Huddlestone injured or just not picked for the squad?

Has he been out that long? Could have sworn he played in a game or two already this season, as well as some last season.

Ya he played against stoke and Arsenal last season but his ankle injury just came back and got injured again kept happening like that so he's had an operation and hopefully he'll be back better than ever fantastic player.

Don't think he's played oince this season we have been short in midfield because of it at the start of the season.

10 out of 10 at home for City this year, so Spurs will need to be on top form to win this one,

    Looking forward to it!

Spurs haven't lost a league game in which Ledley King has started since August 2010.

Regardless, I think it will be close but I expect City to win this.

Glad to see Nasri kept his Arsenal corner-taking technique.

Clichy obviously tried to stop the throw in to Lennon, no different to fowling a player to stop them getting in on goal.

Why do the Spurs fans have their own section?

City's defence looks weak. Both teams should score.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,648 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Spurs need to stop trying to find Defoe with a long ball as if he is Ade, it is not working, it is giving possession away and is just inviting the pressure straight back on.

Great stuff from Friedel, I thought he wasn't going to get it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,648 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Assou-Ekotto doing well to wriggle out of a tight spot, then gives it straight away, nearly the ultimate punishment, but Dzeko looked slow there, well taken from Friedel.

I thought it was because Spurs fans were a bit precious and couldn't put up with banter from other clubs in the general soccer forum. :D

    Imagine that was Gomes
we'd be 1 down no doubt

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,648 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Aguero could have found at least 2 other City players unmarked there in much better positions, let off for Spurs.

    Bale has been muck.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,593 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Crinklewood

Anyone know why City are wearing the black arm bands?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,951 ✭✭✭SuprSi

This freekick is guaranteed to go either into the wall or over

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,648 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

    Bale has been muck.

Spurs not using him or Lennon as much as they should be for me, at times either have them have been in plenty of space out wide, but Spurs elect to pass it central or back.

Bale seems to be roaming to try get himself into the game, or at least on the ball, no doubt he looks dangerous when he has it.
