So do I need to book train seats now? Or do ye get them when ye're there. First time doing the trip north

i was assuming that we'd all meet at the train station and book tickets/travel together. i haven't taken the train to Belfast before so im not so sure.

when would it be the best time to meet up/leave? (to who ever has gone up North by train for whatever reason)

Usually I book the tickets but I don't have the money on my card to book for the large number going.

The 9.45 up should be fine, there's a train about 8 back from connolley.

We'll end up with with different seats if we don't book en masse but as only 1 carriage is for booked seats if we're not late for the train it wont matter.

Fair enough, but I am not going any other way. I'll see you up there :)

I'm sure there'll be some people taking the bus and others taking the train. Pretty sure the train is €40 return while the bus is around €21 (at least it was last time).

I'll probably be taking the bus since I'm looking at at least £18 for tournaments. There's a bus every hour.

I just realised the above looks a bit gruff, let me put it another way:

I'm bringing a lot of very expensive equipment with me, I'm going the way which also means I can keep eye on it AND be relatively comfortable.

I'm cool with the fact other people mightn't want to and I'm also perfectly happy to play chaos rings for a couple hours on the way up on my own :)

    Oh yeah.

    Six in a row.

    Not happened since.

How many times did you circle around the same roads in Cork?

I'd never been on the entrance to the M1 roundabout before and had no map.

... Isn't it illegal to drive on motorways without a full licence? Not trying to be a bítch like, but it's pretty much motorway the entire way to Belfast.

I've personally witnessed, many times that cops up here couldn't give a hoot if a driver from across the border is flying solo with L plates on display. I think it's too much paperwork for them to bother. If you have someone in the passenger seat I imagine they would give less than a hoot. Unless like, y'know, you're on the wrong side of the road with a bong to your mouth and steering with your knees.

No noobs on the motorway, only real drivers.

I drive on two motorways to work five days a week. It's driving in a straight line, not very hard.

Didn't say it was hard - the point is it's illegal :P
