hey folks looking for some advise :)

since march of 2011 ive started chasing the fat from my body via a plan of eating healthy and no **** well almost no **** once a week after a weigh in
so far ive lost 7.6 stone from just eating right and walking about 18-20K a week

roughly 3 months ago i started to work out in a gym for more fitness and tone up and the likes .. now since joining my weight loss has been up and down and in the 3 months or so ive only dropped a stone roughly where as i was on a track of a stone a month with the just plain old walking the furry exercise machine which is the dog ~:)

now i understand muscle is heavier then fat but i was wondering how fast fat turns to muscle or is it possible to stop my weight loss by exercising to much?

it kinda wrecks me head that i seem to do so much and see little movement on scales as i still in my opinion have or wanna shift a few more stone be fore the bulk up part of my plan

is that they way to go drop weight and then bulk or just go for bulk and see how it tones

any hints tips would be great thanks guy's gal's:):):)

Hi well done on the weight loss so far.

Just to point out fat doesn't turn into muscle or vice versa. When calories in are less than calories out you will use your fat reserves as a source of energy and that's why it disappears. When you stimulate/exercise your muscles and eat appropriately you build muscle. The loss of one and the gain of the other aren't directly proportional.

Get a measuring tape and keep a record of your waist circumference as well as your weight. If your weight is staying the same but your waist is shrinking then your still moving in the right direction. Think of it as a reduction in % body fat as oppose to weight loss.

It's also worth noting that the rate at which you loose body fat will decrease as you progress in your fitness plan. Also look at the stickeys at the top of this form the're very useful.

    Best of luck
