Hi, I've been wondering for a while if it matters what source you get your protein from, I would say i'd get about 70-80% of my protein from dairy sources, Is this good or bad or does it really matter? ( I've searched around on google and havn't been able to find anything that looks valid)

I also sometimes take in 60-70 grams In one go if I'm going out somewhere and wont be back for a while, can my body absorb all this protein or am I wasting some of it?

I'm far from an expert but what sources of dairy are giving you such high amounts of protein? I mean you must be eating a lot of that source which can't be good. I would think that the majority of your protein intake should be coming from meats for lunch/dinner - beef, chicken, turkey, pork, etc.

Are you sure you're taking in that much protein too? I think a chicken breast is roughly 20g protein so maybe your calculations are off. Either way I don't think there is any problem with that amount.

I would usually drink about 3 litres or so of milk a day and 2 half servings of serious mass as well (25g protein each, whey and casein) I had some old whey protein there as well so I throw a scoop of that in which is what gives it the outrages amount of protein but I heard that your body can only take in about 30 or so grams of protein in one go?
But I havn't been able to find a reliable source so that's what I'm trying to find out, also do you know if there is much of a difference between protein from dairy sources and protein from meat sources?

30grams in one go in nonsense.

A 250g steak contains 70g protein. And thats by no means big.
It takes hours to digest a meal so your still working through that my the next meal.

Are you not eating meat. The milk and protein above is about 140g. You could easily hit that from whole food.

I have around 2 pork chops a day and 200 grams or chicken or about 400 of mince but that would be all the meat I'd eat.

I read a study recently (that I can't find anywhere now) that said there was very little difference in muscle gain whether participants consumed all their daily protein in one go or at regular intervals.

So as long as you're getting enough protein, it doesn't really matter how you ration your intake.
