    This was meant to be an interval session of 10 x 2 Uphill, Jog down with a 10 min Warm Up and Cool Down. Unfortunately, I made a pigs ear of something while trying to set up the session on Garmin connect and it wasn't there when I went to start the session. So, I changed and went for 10 m WU, 40 m Steady, 10 m CD instead.

    10 m WU, 139 bpm, 6:10 m/km
    40 m Steady, 161 bpm, 5:19 m/km
    10 m CD, 148 bpm, 6:30 m/km

    Quality session, but I had to make a real effort to slow down as every time I looked at my watch I was dropped to under 5:00 m/km and still felt fine. According to McMillan my steady pace should be 5:25 to 5:34, so I don't want to overdo it and burn myself out.

    Horribly warm and humid which pushed my AHR higher than I would have liked but legs and everything else felt good other than that.

    Long ride today and starting to think that this 160k might just be doable. The only issue I have is that I'm not doing enough proper climbing. For any proper climbing I have to throw the bike in the car and head for the Slieve Blooms so I'll have to get around to doing just that next week.
