Carbon or Alloy ?

    This is my first thread and I am planning this to be my first full season of triathlons (the bike part of triathlon is my strongest) (10-15 planned to be done including a half ironman) my budget is 1200 stretched and my question is should I buy a new 2010 model Giant Trinity from my LBS, professionally fitted and with computer included etc (price already at on 1300 but I can get the VAT off it!:))or should I shop around for a secondhand carbon tri-bike. Alternatively should I go for a road bike and set it up in tri mode with clip-on bars etc . My goal for the year is to do triathlons and time-trials.
