Advice on Protein Supplements

    Hey everyone,

I'm having a bit of a time trying to decide on two after-workout protein supplements. I also need it to be a meal replacement since I will be skipping dinner :S

I do about a 1-hour workout with the first 10 minutes as cardio, and the rest doing various weights.

The two I'm trying to decide on are:

    Protein Bar:

    Energy kcal / kJ 339 kcal/1426 kJ
    Protein 29.2 g
    Carbohydrate 26.8 g
    - of which sugar 21.9 g
    Fat 12.5 g
    - of which saturated fat 6.5 g
    Fibre 1.3 g
    Sodium 0.2 g

    Protein Shake:

    Energy 420 kcal /
    1785 kJ
    Protein 50 g
    Carbohydrate 50 g
    - of which sugar 50 g
    Fat 2 g
    - of which saturated fat 0.5 g
    Fibre 0.1 g
    Sodium 0.35 g

    Thanks for any help!

Its not ideal really and I am a firm believe in PPWO nutrition but assuming you are well fed during the day and do get a decent meal in after your class its not the end of the world.

Of the two you have posted the second one matches your needs best. It wouldnt be what I would use though.
