    Hi all.
I have been using Vitargo for the last while, and saw Complete Lean Mass recently. Was wondering whats the difference and benefits of one over the other.

I add Vitargo with a protein powder to consume directly after training.

Which one would be best to use after workout, Vitargo or CLM?

    Cheers

    They are completely different.

Vitargo is a carb and the other is a protein/carb blend.

If Vitargo added to your whey is working stick with it.

Personally I would not use Vitargo as I feel there is better alternatives out there that offer similar benefits for less expenditure.

I would use proper waxy maize starch with high amylopectin percentage. Not all waxy maize starch is the same.

    Thanks for the reply.
What would you recommend for "waxy maize starch with a high amylopectin percentage"?

I buy Vitargo from Bulkpowders as I found them to be the cheapest in general. Who would be cheaper/better?

I will take any info on board.

    Thanks

I could be wrong on this, and this is coming from a Vitargo retailer, buuuuuuuuut...

As Vitargo is a protected blend a specific product, it can only be sold if authorised. As far as I know, bulkpowders/myprotein bought an end run of the old blend which isn't as effective or good as the new ones being sold in the form of Vitargo S2 or Vitargo Strength, or whatever it's called.

I don't really buy into the hype around Vitargo either tbh. I'm sure it's a great product, and it's really tasty, but I certainly don't think you need to spend that much. Although when I start to push the weight gain side of things again I'll probably get it to experiment anyway.

From the Bulkpowders website, they say they stock Vitargo S2:
    ***Please note that BulkPowders.co.uk stocks Vitargo® S2

I started on that as it was the cheapest I found for a carb supplement. Would appreciate any other suggestions for similar/better products.

    H,

Right there is the issue with Vitargo.

There is more than one company manufacturing it in various locations/countries.

There is also a complex ownership structure which I will omit for legal reasons! :)

As a carb source it costs more per kg than isolate does at a retail level.

As for the retailer saying that - he should focus on what he has to sell not what others might or might not have.

I'll get off me high horse now...:D

I've heard it countless times btw - ours is the real vitargo and the soluble one - the other stuff is rubbish mate.

For me high amylopectin wms is the way to go.

Good WMS - ask the company for the:

    Amylopectin:Amylose ratio.

The one I use which I get direct from the manufacturer is:

99.2% amylopectin remainder is amylose 0.8% average

    HTH

Would it not be easier to grab dextrose?

Cheap as chips and widely available if you want a pwo carb
