looking to get into airsoft, cheaply? lol

right im looking to get into airsoft, only thing putting me off is the high prices of even the most basic things,

so if anyone can point me in the right direction of some starting gear id greatly appreciate it,

basically what im looking for is starter machine gun, (sub preferably but anything will do) and a basic handgun, and gear (vests etc)

cheap.... and even cheaper if you can lol


or i could maybe arrange some sort of swap, have some laptop and computer parts lying around, sky boxes, an acoustic guitar, games etc..

oh also have a snake and lizard, but would need fairly decent stuff to swap for them,


anyone can help me out let me know,

All you need is a decent aeg with one or two hi cap magazines, a basic mask and clothes you don't care about. The hand gun, the vest and all the other expense (and it can be bloody expensive as well as addictive) can come later. When you go out and play you'll find out what you need or want. AKs and G36s are good relatively inexpensive starters.
Might have a cheap beta spetz in a couple of weeks if I can fix it.

not in any major hurry, hopeing to pick up what i need over the next few weeks before the weather gets better

To be honest, before my first game, I bought some cheap guns from website, it was spring shotgun, after first game I got AEG already. If I was you or if I could change my gun buying I wouldn't buy one before my first game, I would rent it at start, perhaps on site ask people around, I am sure some players will lend you to try out a specific gun so you know what you like.

thanks for the advice, iv a fair idea, few ppl i know do it so iv been pointed in the right direction,


but i get what your saying, all depends on what you like, me id be quite happy with anything to start off with, planning on doing it fairly regularly over the summer, so would rather avoid rental costs as much as i can


wouldnt mind an ak47u, but there a bit pricey,
seen a basic g36c for 133, might go for that if i cant find anything going cheap

look around boards. you will find some good guns at a cheap price there. As for things like tac vests and camo, they can wait. Matter of fact most people I know dont use tac vests. Instead they buy clothes with big pockets and use them for mags.

i have a m4 s-system, €80 and its urs comes with high cap mag, and a battery.
bit of paint wear, small piece of the stock broke off, and it sometimes stickes in semi.

what make is it?

quite interested, does it stick often? would be an easy fix??

dont no the make. it has a few upgrades such as a high power motor.
it sticks sometimes more than others, only in semi. u can push the trigger forward and fire again tho. dont know about fixing it tho. it could just be somthing simple,

juat a reminder if anyone has interest in anything i have for swap, tought id provide more details

laptop and pc parts : ram, screens, keyboards, cables etc... most parts

acoustic guitar : stagg, bag, plec and extra strings incl

sky boxes, roughly 6 working, and 6 faulty, and have maybe 4 remotes all standard boxes

games, cant think of them off hand, but deffinately have crysis 2, maybe a couple of others will check when i can

hondouran milksnake, all equip incl, small tank heat matt decor etc...

chinese water dragon, all equip incl 4x2x2 tank, lots of decor etc...


all the above available for swap for airsoft gear, if your interested, ill take anything

have noticed a lot of the guns a over the fps limits tho, some of the handguns were under it, but could be good for vests etc,

got an ak47 minus butt plate with 1 600 rd mag and 1400 nicd battery ,shoots at 1 joule or 1 sig p226 with 2* 24 rd mags shoots at 270 fps. would pay the shipping for guitar if you want to pay shipping for either gun.

oh right, be a bit of trouble getting the bus down no?

im in carrickmacross, theres buses to there, or i could meet in dundalk or ardee, depending on what bus you get, from what i remember matthews are fairly cheap to dundalk an run regular enough
