Are you breastfeeding? A baby is the best fat-shifting device ever.

    What are you eating now?

Personally, I would not do either of those if there is an alternative. Apart from everything else, you'll get so bored by them. There is a lot of info up here about how to put together a good low carb diet, which can shift weight quickly and without hunger or ruining your social life.

I think I might do it to kick start the diet.I have finished breastfeeding.Thank Gid.
Shes 12 weeks today , so Im starting to look more at my diet.Over Christmas I put on about 1-2 pound, so its not bad.Im careful enough what I eat I suppose without starving myself , but the weight i gained while pregnant will have to shift. Its very hard to excersie in between her feeds and the school runs and homework, washing , cooking, etc, etc.Yous all know what its like.I just have to try. Thanks for the help:)

Seriously, if you haven't finished for long, you might think about relactating. A baby will suck off 500-1000 calories a day. That's a lot of not-eating to get the same calorie defiict. I lost three stone while breastfeeding my last baby. Just make good food choices, and the weight loss is relatively painless. And breastfeeding is the one time when Nature makes it (a bit) easier to shift the hip and thigh fat.

I'm not a fan of either of those. If you want to do a kick start, then I'd suggest getting some decent whey from a health food shop/supplement shop and replace one or two meals a day with a whey shake. But a tub of cottage cheese will have a similar effect.

The more you drop your calories, the more important it is to make sure you are getting enough quality protein.

If you want to start again, it's an option. It's your decision, but I guarantee you still have milk.

Focus on quality foods, high in protien and fat (yes fat), and cut out all the refined carbs. Fresh as much as possible. Only eat when you are hungry. Food that requires cooking is good, because it's a test for whether you are genuinely hungry or just want to chew.
