Hey, looking for advice on post workout meals, I know I should be getting protein and carbs, do I need fats as well?

Today after the gym I had a smoothie with 200ml milk, half a banana, scoop of whey and a tablespoon of peanut butter, is that a good mix of protein, carbs and fat?

    Cheers, Dylbert.

As an excellent source of protein, have you tried quinoa ?

I've cut grains from my diet plus quinoa seem kinda expensive.

I just want to know if I should be having fats post workout? I read somewhere that fats will slow down the digesting of protein?

Fine, but quinoa is not a grain, it's a seed. It's a very balanced form of protein, and is not that expensive at all - a little goes a long way, as it's so filling.

Maybe not excellent, but certainly very good and it's certainly a very balanced form of protein.

Or they could stay with the whey which is cheaper and easier
