Really enjoyed this thread, even if the main post is not from a boards poster but from the Guardian. I was 6 at the time of the events and don't remember them really at all, but it sounded like an amazing night and it was the qualifying for the 94 World Cup, which I watched religiously and was when I really started getting into football. I'll always remember that World Cup very fondly, and not just the Irish games, and I really enjoyed reading the background to it several months before.

Anyway it sounded like an amazing night with some incredible stories and I enjoyed reading the older posters memories of the Ireland match

One of the stupidest posts of the year when you consider that someone did buy them for £1 and ran up debts to the taxman currently @ £15m this season alone and sold 3 years of season tickets just so they could pay off the bank debt and have some working capital and they have the EBT case which stands at £49m pending an appeal by the club.

EDIT

Forgot to mention that the club was running at a £10m loss per season and now its only a formality that they will not receive a European licence (no UCL or EL regardless of position).

Prime Investment indeed!
