It's on Sunday. What more do you want? Those team probable lineup pics and club crests are just a waste of bandwidth.

Get on with the discussion IMO.

I predicted 5-0 for the last derby and wasn't far off so I'll go with a solid 7-1 this time out.

Yaya to dominate in his farewell game.

The time and tv channel perhaps, to save on the countless times it will be asked in the thread.

    13:00, ITV 1

    Two options imo:

    a) City 3-0 United, more absolute ****e from United and comfortable win for City, queue hysteria in the United thread.

    b) City 1-2 United, turning point in United's season, queue completely uncalled for hysteria around City.

Head says (a), heart says (b).

Could make you a nice bit of bob. It won't like, but sure put it on anyway for the craic if you're so confident.

Utd are a poor team playing poorly so I predict a City win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,564 ✭✭✭quad_red

City coming out of a rocky patch and after putting Liverpool to the sword (at least in terms of scoreline).

An injury ravaged Utd careening out of two hugely unexpected defeats, bereft of creativity or steel in the midfield, leaky defensively and unable to score.

Utd to come out in a tizzy in the first 20 mins. City weather it, pick Utd off on the break then put them to the sword comprehensively.

    3/4 nil to City.

Oh come on thats BS. I like to stick the boot in at times but you can't say United are a poor team. They are the champions of England ffs.

Lol, crazy horse annoyed by an Anti-United comment:D
This thread is going to be interesting!!

Seems the authorities in the real world are nervous at the prospect of these two sides meeting again... Police at the match are to be decked out in full riot gear. Mods here may take note! (jk)..

IMO, the riot police may have their work cut out trying to hold back Fergie from his players if they play like they did against Blackburn/Newcastle....

Man United are 5/2 with Paddy Power.

    Small nibble on that methinks.

Again; a absolutely savage tie to start off the FA Cup campaign for either club, going on recent performances, this should be City's, but I'm a bit more optimistic than that, especially after hearing the good news from our perspective the Kolo & Yaya will be out for the game. Albeit the latter being a tad more important than the former, all due respect to Kolo Touré.

My honest prediction for the tie is a goalless draw, with the replay at Old Trafford being anyones' game. But I did have a dream last night that Paul Scholes came out of retirement and was substituted on late in the game and scored the winner in stoppage time, although I realise that is a bit unlikely. :pac:

Oh, and I would like to see Anderson play from the start.

this will be a poor match........neither have been at their best recently

I reckon it'll be a very tight match with maybe a single goal either way deciding it or a draw.

A draw and United to win the replay in Old Trafford

Yeah, only miss this game though. He'll be back for Wigan :) Phew!

I don't think there is any reason to panic yet. Utd are in a very unfortunate position that they have no real option to play with their line up. Only 2 fit centre halves in Rio and Jones, Evra only fit left back, Would you play Rafael over Valencia right back, and the De Silva's can't last more than 60 mins in a game anyway. That leaves Park & Nani on the wings again. Pressume Giggs won't start again so soon, so that leaves just Carrick and Anderson in the middle. Unless Rooney is utilised as a 'utility playmaker' (which in fairness will be brilliant for City if he is!). Up front you have several options. Wellbeck up front with Rooney behind maybe most likely?

Real problem for Utd is if Rio picks up a knock and is out for Bolton game, could give City the oppurtunity to 6 clear of them.

Would like to have seen them square up both full strength, but I'll have to wait for the 3rd last game of the season for that, which I still think is the title decider.

Don't really see a drubbing on the cards here, but can't see Utd winning this either. City to win by 2 IMO. Scoreless draw for Utd their best outcome and get replay in Trafford.

Hargreaves to play instead of Yaya and score the opener!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,919 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

    Hart

    Richards----Kompany----Lescott----Clichy

    De Jong

    Silva
    Milner
    Nasri

    Aguero
    Dzeko

Subs: Pantillimon, Kolarov, Savic, Zabaleta, Hargreaves, Johnson, A N Other.

The above is what I'd like to see but it'll probably end up different.
