    Hello!:)

    I'm quite unhappy with my diet. I'm not sure if I'm eating enough:( I'm 18, 5' 4'' (or 5' 5'', not sure) female and weigh 8st 7lbs.

    Usually, this is my diet:

    Breakfast:

30g Ready Brek with 150ml of low-fat Supermilk

    Dinner:

    Mashed potatoes/Vegetables

Piece of meat (burger, chop etc.)

Then, I might snack on a biscuit or maybe a bun or something else.

I take in 2litres of water a day.

I don't exercise. Although, I do go in and out of the shops most days(if that counts:o)

    What about lunch?
There's about enough food there to keep a small rabbit in good nick.

You weigh 119lbs so just to stay at that weight you should be consuming 119 x 14 = 1666 kcals per day.

At a guess I'd day you're eating 800-950 there. You're body doesn't like not getting enough food & will slow down your metabolism as a result.

    Thank you for replying!

Well, lately I have been eating terribly due to Christmas! So, for breakfast, shamefully, I'll have a poptart, a normal dinner, and then maybe a few biscuits, a few Roses and maybe some ice-cream!!

However, I will be following a more healthy diet in the coming week!:o

I'm just worried that if I start eating more, I'll put on weight. The weight I would like to be at is 8 stone 3.

I know that I should be eating more, but I don't know how to go about it.

    Thank you!:)

If you want to lose weight, ie the 4 lbs you just mentioned there, it can be done by diet alone but you must get your diet in order.

You need to run a calorie deficit but not a huge one like you are running now.

you should be consuming 1666kcals or so per day.
id recommend you aim for 1360 kcals per day giving you a deficit of about 300kcals.
A pound of fat consists of about 3600kcals so within 12 days, you could have lost 1lb, and in 48 days, or 7 weeks, you could have lost the 4 you want to lose.

The body is a hard thing to trick in to doing what you want it to do.

try to eat at least three square meals per day.
try to get a balance of 40:30:30 in terms of protein:carbs:fat

Do NOT be afraid of fat, things like olive oil, avocados, eggs, these are all good quality foods.
Its all about learning to get the balance right.

Log on to myfitnesspal.com or fitday.com, open an account and try to track what you are eating.
It can take a little while to set up but if losing the 4lbs is important to you, then its time well spent.

    Good luck
