I normally have no problem sleeping 99% of the time, but last night I was totally unable to sleep until about 3.30am. Like many I had to go back to work today, and I wanted to get a good night’s sleep ready for today – but no such look. I have been absolutely exhausted all day! Strangely when I came into work I mentioned it to my teammates and almost all of them said the same thing, that all of them had a restless night – I then took a quick look on Facebook and there were loads of people posting about the same random insomnia last night also. Out of interest were any of you guys the same? I thought it might be related to that ‘most depressing day of the year’ but that’s not till late January apparently... I better get a good night sleep tonight, today feels like its dragging on forever...

    Apprehension does that to you.

Either that or it's my fecked up body clock seeing that I've spent the last few days up until 4am playing xbox.

Its the beginning of the end I'd say. First lack of sleep, then a resistance to sunlight.

I went to bed early (1am) to try and get my sleeping pattern back to normal.
Took me about an hour to get to sleep, which is normal for me.
Didnt have a major problem sleeping, woke up a few times like I always do. Had some weird as fúck dreams though, but thats nothing unusual either.
I remember waking up at about 3am and feeling wide awake for a few minutes.
oh and my night sweats weren't as bad.

Aside from that, no I didn't have any problems sleeping last night.

    I slept like a baby.

That is I pissed myself three times and woke up screaming for my mammy.

There wont be so much aprihension around tomorrow cause today wasnt the end of the world.

    That and sleeping pills!!!

It was the wind, or perhaps that I watched three episodes in a row of Romanzo Criminale

This is strange. I was tossing and turning all night.

    Very rare for me.

It hasn't been windy where I live but I had trouble sleeping last night. I assumed it was because I was going back to work today, and there is a long stretch without a bank holiday. My wife was the same.

Too many nights of drinking can mess up your sleep aswell. That and the thought of going back to work, and the thought of having to get up in the morning after a week of getting up whenever you please. Nothing to worry about. Couple of days you'll be back to normal.

Yeah,I went to bed at about 4am and didn't get to sleep til after 7am,and that was when I finally gave in and took a sleeping tablet. Was pretty windy here though.

    'The Wind'!

    pffft you people are mental...

Havent u ever heard of 'THE FEAR' usually likes to rear its head sunday evening/night,
and for most people yesterday was the mother of all sundays.

You've been eating and drinking like pigs for the last 2 weeks, getting up whenever you like and going to bed at different times often with a few on board!!

Myself couldnt sleep the night before or last night, I even tried to pre-empt it last night by sinking a couple a cans... didnt work... still awake at 3:30!

But alas as long as you got out of bed this morn and dragged yourself into work ... you'll be wrecked tonight and all will return to normal,
Best bet... early to bed tonight

I always find it unfair how once a guy cums, he can just conk out. Don't know if it's just me or all girls, but it just doesn't happen for me.

yeah i dunno if it's all girls or not.it can go either way for me. if i'm left alone I could fall asleep, but if i'm not I suppose I could keep going. given the choice I would definitely pick sleep

I got to sleep easily enough but I had loads of weird and vivid dreams that were a lot more violent than usual. I notice it every now and then though, that for no particular reason one morning my facebook newsfeed will be full of people complaining about insomnia the previous night.

I'm still on holidays but oddly found it difficult to sleep, rare for me

Can't say it always applies to me tbh! Most times I don't fall asleep. Cue me falling asleep before I've even shot it all out the next time :o :P

well every sunday is like this for me as my sleep pattern gets wrecked and alcohol effs up my system. I must have slept a bit last night but I was awake most of the night, sweating, and the storms here were bad too. I'm wrecked now at work but I'll go to gym and sweat my ass off then steam room/sauna, should get some sleep tonight. If I've been drinking at the weekend it usually takes a few nights afterwards to get my sleep back in order. Then it all starts again...
Well 2012 will be different, I mean it this time!

despite the noise from the wind there was a massive air pressure drop across the country last night. Always messes with my sleep and makes my sinuses wierd.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,184 ✭✭✭3ndahalfof6

I was having some crazy ass dreams, I met a lot of people I have not seen for years, some dead people, and there were a lot of large bridges exploding, a lot of other stuff but I need to try to keep these locked up.

Was woken second night in a row by a strange bird like noise. It wasn't the parrots because they aren't night birds...

I had a terrible nights sleep myself due to the storm. The noise of the wind kept waking me up. Then I had a nightmare that the wind was destroying my block of flats and my bed was slamming into the wall. I woke up with my arms up to prevent the impact. The noise of the wind was terrible last night. I had a nice lie in though and woke up again 12.00 noon.

I didn't get any sleep, but that's because I was on 24-hour call at work! The only good thing was I got today off work while others were preparing for their first day back after the holliers!

Did you ever think it could be your body craving for more alcohol after a heavy few days?
