Liverpool have serious issues in the club,Bellamy has to be punished

Blood running down his face after an elbow from Collocini, and the first person you think should be investigated is Bellamy?

Xenophobia is not racism... Would be surprised if anything is said or done about this.

As for the elbow, colocini had his back turned to belamy, never looked towards him, hence not intentional.

Good to see he bleeds red like any true Liverpool player.

I wonder what the reaction would be if a player had called Given or Duff "An Irish ****"..

But only on when you say it with a snarl. If you say it while shaking hand in certain parts of Wales, it means "your sheep shall soon be mine"

    It's all about context!

I once called the misses a yank twat for ruining our two day old car by reversing it into the neighbours wall, she banned me from sex for 8 days. Just saying like.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,661 ✭✭✭✭Helix

technically, by the precedent they've set, you'd assume the fa would have to actually ban him based on that if there was a complaint made

As the story goes Mark "Eire" Lawrenson spent Niall Quinn's debut marking him and calling him a 'fenian bastard'. Work that one out if you like.

With that hair he can see bugger all:) . Bellamy ran into his, granted, raised elbow. He was shielding the ball exactly as defender does when close to his own touchline.

"A Participant shall at all times act in the best interests of the game and shall not
act in any manner which is improper or brings the game into disrepute or use
any one, or a combination of, violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening,
abusive, indecent or insulting words or behaviour.
    (2) In the event of any breach of Rule E3(1) including a reference to any one or
more of a person's ethnic origin, colour, race, nationality, faith, gender, sexual
orientation or disability (an "aggravating factor"), a Regulatory Commission
shall consider the imposition of an increased sanction, taking into account the
    following entry points:
For a first offence, a sanction that is double that which the Regulatory
Commission would have applied had the aggravating factor not been present.
For a second offence, a sanction that is treble that which the Regulatory
Commission would have applied had the aggravating factor not been present.
Any further such offence(s) shall give rise to consideration of a permanent
    suspension.
These entry points are intended to guide the Regulatory Commission and are
    not mandatory.
The Regulatory Commission shall have the discretion to impose a sanction
greater or less than the entry point, according to the aggravating or mitigating
    factors present in each case."

12 matches would be adequate here given that there's concrete proof, eh? :P

If he did say that, technically he'd be guilty of the same charge Suarez was found guilty of, abuse with reference to ethnic origin

In the grand scheme of things it's probably nothing to get too excited about, but once again the reaction of a few Liverpool gob****es is embarassing. He made a racist comment, it's not a huge deal, but don't jump to the defence of your player when there is no defence. Not talking about any Suarez in particular. A great club shamed itself there imho.

Indeed, nationality comes under the same charge as Suarez!

I'd love to see it introduced in the stands as well. The guy who abused Cantona could also be charged! Plus half this very forum after the France Ireland match!

Mad Men's Don Draper : What you call love was invented by guys like me, to sell nylons.
