Not sure how many of you pay attention to the Weather Forum or Forecasts from Met Eireann but we have a serious Storm arriving now which will bring some serious strong Gusts that are likely to cause damage with Gusts of up to 120 km/h and Donegal is going to see Gusts of up to 150 km/h

    See www.iwo.ie for details.

    Thanks for the warning.

I was about to head out in my newly purchased Kite Coat but might leave that until next week now.

Meh, it'll just be a bit windy. Country yokels will think it's the Great Wind God - (Howlie by name, moany by nature) but to the rest of us it's nothing. You'd swear there were tornadoes chasing the Weather regulars to the bathroom by the way they're rabbiting on.

:D I can see this being quoted tomorrow, when things get rough... remember the floods in Dublin, by any chance? just a bit of rain like

That was horrible! Took me almost 4hrs to drive back home from the city centre. Was worse than the snow last year, well in 2010...

Good I love a nice big storm. Hopefully its a raging savage of a one rather than an angsty tantrum. A nice fire, good book, a few beers, and a storm, thats me sorted.

You mean another rainy & windy day? Why does everyone get worked up when met eireann put up a "storm warning"? We get loads of these every year and its just another wet week here.
We really do have nothing to do in this country other than get all excited about what a bit of wind could do. You would swear it was a hurricane.

International Red Cross disaster relief funding should be reserved for crises like these.

Seems the West and NW are really going to get hit this time.

Dublin might get a 80mph breeze and AH will go into Armageddon mode.
