Powerpoint nightmare

I hope someone can help me.
I'm using powerpoint 2011 for Mac. I'm trying to save a powerpoint presentation with linked word documents to a disc for college. I have tried saving the powerpoint along with all the linked word docs into a folder together and then burn them to a disc. When I try to open them on another computer, the links to word documents don't work. It's very frustrating.
I also tried saving the powerpoint into a folder with all the linked docs in a subfolder within that folder. It didn't work either.

It seems like it should be a pretty easy thing to do. I've scoured the internet and I can't solve my problem.

Thanks in advance for any help

I had the same problem with links not working in MS Office for Mac, the only solution is to do it on Windows where links to the same or a child folder do work.

    Thanks for that.
Just used a pc there and it worked.
Seems ridiculous that basic needs can't be done on office for mac.
