    Stay-tus

How the hell they got the TH sound into the poll is beyond me, & quite why so many people have voted for the th is even more baffling

STATus or STAtus = Both are acceptable.

I notice option two (currently on 52 votes) is spelt sta-thus, but since when was there a H in Status? > this is a pronunciation I have never come across before in my entire life!

I would say status, as in Status Quo, while others would say Staa-tus, but never sta-thus
Same here. Do you use a router or a rooter? ;)

Depends on whether I'm woodworking or computing. You'd be years putting a rebate on a piece of oak with a router (ru:tər), and plugging your PC into a router (raʊtər) is downright dangerous!

    Still scratching head . . . . .
