Title says it all really, not a New Years Resolution thread or anything, just those little things you've always meant to get around to doing and never have.

Me:

Learn to play guitar - tried twice but don't have the patience
Cover my arms in tattoos - have four and never got around to the rest.
Grow a ZZ Top beard - settled for a smig!
Get physically fit and built some serious muscle - got half way there then gave up training, should really make this one my new years resolution for next year.

have never been able to have one so far because of hearing being on the extreme opposite end to deafness/profound noise sensitivity,still hope to have them done.

ride an icelandic pony.
these are an incredible unique breed,bred to carry adults and have a different gait to regular ponies and horses,but have not been able to find any riding schools in the UK who offer rides on icelandic ponies.
woud love to own one,but thats closer to impossible.

OK, I know a small airplane pilot who said he'd teach me, so take up my offer on the driving, we'll do the planes together and maybe you will be living the learning!

OT, have another go at learning guitar. I was getting the hang of it, then hit the wall for no good reason.

Lost 25 lbs since august 2011 not sure whats happened over the xmas but I'm active just need to be consistent. I also hate getting too worried about it, I don't want to spend my life worrying about not having the perfect body getting ill one day and only then realise how silly I was.


Yes basically to have a routine, to take time out for myself and relax.. also planned these things or did them and didn't stick to it.

See a total solar eclipse. I'd like to do it ASAP, money allowing, but my must see date is the 2017 North American event and I'll probably tie it in with a coast to coast road trip...assuming I'm still alive by then.

I want to own or lease a little strip club in England, should have done so about four years ago but didn't, with hindsight I should have just went for it. The time will come again..... :cool:

To the budding guitarists / instrumentalists already posted, I say just go for it. Pick up a crappy nylon string guitar for 50 quid and then YouTube how to play your favourite song and you'll be flying in no time. Its a great pasttime that'll always stick with you. With all the free resources on the web these days you wont even need to shell out for lessons, just an hour of your time twice a week and you'll be flying. Do it!

Starting to learn guitar properly this year-have had my acoustic since I was 14 and never started to play properly. My brothers are great musicians so hoping to get a few lessons outta them after re-learning the basics on youtube this year

Also want to learn Spanish. Have started self teaching multiple times and never stuck with it-am going to try my damndest this year!

To all the budding guitarists in this thread:

When you finally get around to learning the instrument, please don't assume it gives you the right to produce the fucking thing at every party you rock up at.

It is ridiculously annoying when idiots do this and you shouldn't be surprised when you deservedly get the thing shoved up your fucking arse.
