ok guys in 25 years old from the west of ireland im living at home with my parents and working for my dad ina agri store serving customers and lifting bags ever since i started secondary school at 12-13 i have been putting on weight and am quite overweight at the moment when i started secondary school ive have had an obession with junk food because we had no tuck shop in national school and all my mates used to go there every day at lunch i have not particapated in sports at all exept the odd game of pitch and putt now and again ever since school ive gotten more heavier, put on lots of weight and became addicted to junk food e.g chocolate, crisps, takeaways, chinese, coke and other minerals. the bad thing is that i dont eat any vegetables salad or much fruit and if i do try eat veggies or salad i end up throwing them back up into the bin because havent developed a taste for them. i work a 5 day week sometimes 6 and its a 9am-6pm job but other than that i get no excerise at all. so in other words i need some help because i have absolutely no will power or motivation so i can lose weight and keep fit ive tried going to my local doc, local dietican and motivation clinic and found none of them were successful so id really like to get into a good shape rather than being in a wooden box 6ft underground!!!!!!

I'm probably no help to you but I know how you're feeling. My diet is terrible, no veg or salad. I love pasta, sugary food and soft drinks. I hate excercise!! I have MS though.

The only thing that has helped me so far is calorie controlled diets where basically I was eating less of what I like to eat rather then adding in the healthy stuff and to be honest I do lose weight on them but it's never permanant. But in saying that it could be a good start for you to lose that weight in the beginning and give you a bit of energy to take on some excercise?

I hope you find the answer and let me know!

Why don't you get yourself an exercise bike- you won't fall over on it and start off doing half an hour a night and build up time and resistance at a good pace. You don't need to feel embarrassed about going out in public doing exercise because you'll be in the privacy of your own home.

As regards your diet if you lack motivation programmes like supersize v superskinny on 4od are an eye-opener for me as you can see the two extremes of unhealthy lifestyles and learn about healthy eating and see what the consequences are if you keep going with a bad diet/fitness routine. Operation transformation is on tomorrow on rte I think and maybe it might give you a bit of motivation?

It's a case of only you can sort out your own life. You need to think about the life you want to have and do something to get it.

Hey there, Im actually on the show tonight! Im not one of the leaders but i am one of the final 24. Since we tried out for the show back in September, i already feel like a new person it has motivated me to loose two stone, and i plan on following the show for the next 8 weeks and hopefully loose nearly another two!

You should follow the show, follow Adrian, or Killian do there exercises and there diets. I felt like i always had an excuse or kept putting it off! But lets face it, there will always be an excuse or always the option to start next week, you have to face it accept it and do it! You will feel so much better after a while believe me!
