help with food choices

    Hi,
    I am hoping to get some advice on this. I am currently overweight and have been doing so well to lose weight over the past 2 months or so.
    I still however get a bit stressed out over social situations when it comes to dinner with family or friends. I have three occasions coming up between now and next week-all eating out. I am not hesitating about having the food..more what to eat. Obviously I am becoming more health conscious and I am trying to avoid pan fried food/greasy foods/oily foods.
    Has anyone any tips on how I can order certain foods like: the sauce on the side etc..
    Also what are the best options when out for meals, what has less calories/healthier and is the best option for me? Steak/fish/chicken??
    What foods should be avoided?
