Is this a steroid or not?

So two friends recommended this supplement called Epistane to me. They both made serious strength and size gains with it and claimed to experience no side effects.

But the description of it on the website you order it from makes it sound like it boosts testosterone levels - that is what a steroid does right? But it's available on a, from what I can tell, pretty reputable and well known site operating in both Britain and Ireland so surely they wouldn't be able to sell and ship this product so easily if it were illegal?

Does anybody have any experience with this product? The description on the website obviously makes it sound like it's perfect but of course they are trying to sell it so I'm not sure what to think...

It's a prohormone, so technically, no it's not a steroid, but they can supposedly do the same as steroids without as many drastic side effects. As far as I'm aware they're considered in the same legal classification as steroids though.

So are prohormones also considered to be dangerous?

Depends if you consider steroids "dangerous" tbh.

They can be quite hepatoxic as they are methylated

Well I haven't ever used the or known anybody who has used them but as far as I'm aware the main side effect is a complete or near complete suppression of natural testosterone production after stopping use of the steroid. That would be the main 'danger' in my eyes, that said there are probably other side effects that I just don't know about.

It has been known to have multiphasic effects on the lymphidium system. As well as shutting down mitichondriatic production in the Neeson gland. Just beware.

That's only the pharmaceutical grade stuff made out of actual Liam Neeson

man its a growth hormone, i don't see why you would want to take this unless your an athlete or on your way to being, you can make gains doing it the natural way, just takes more time and arguably a bit more hard work and obviously a good diet. You don't need this!!

Prohormones are notoriously bad for your liver. If you're going to take something illegal then at least use injectable steroids as, when you're educated about them, they will more than likely be far less detrimental to your health than oral prohormones as long as you don't abuse them. It seems to me that you just wanted clarification on what it was. My advice is it's shíte, don't buy it!

The problem is that both are drugs that should only be prescribed by a doctor. So don't do either.

I said if he was going to take something illegal, to do the less damaging of the 2 evils ;) I'm not recommending steroids.

Epi is a very mild prohormone, no need to worry about liver potection etc for a short cycle etc. But a SERM is needed for PCT.

Perfectly legal in the UK. Not sure about here to be honest.

The fact that you had to ask means you should not be taking it though!

Well, how long would a PH cycle be, versus how long would an injectable cycle be?
Time on the drug is an important factor. Someone will come off 3 or 4 weeks on epistane very very easily in comparison to 10+ weeks of 'real' drugs.

It's best if no one answers this. It's against to rules to offer advice on steroid use.

In fact I'm not convinced of the merits of leaving this thread open. Thread locked.
