I am so sick of all this eating and drinking , totally out of routine, diet gone out the window, drinking like a fish and barely doing any exercise, so annoyed with myself, I can't wait to get back to work next week.

Then stop eating and drinking so much? Christmas is like any time of the year. Why do people think that they have carte blanche for "oh just another won't hurt". Just be sensible and try not to over indulge. Although, that is the fun part <loosens belt>.

I quite literally ate all the food over Xmas. 27th came, was disgusted by my out of shapedness, started dieting, even tho il be on the total lash for new years but figured even if 4 days of dieting does nothing, I could have done A LOT more damage in those 4 days, and now I'm at least feeling a bit more disciplined.

Think of it as a soft start! Literally... Weh weh weh.

I think this is a great time of year to remind yourself just *why* you eat well and exercise regularly the rest of the year ...

Quit whining. It's feasting time. Has been since Pagan times. Let you inner savage out and celebrate the Winter Solstice and New Year with plenty of game and meade. Then start back in January.

Gym was closed for 3 days during which I managed to get out for a run each day then Stephen's night happened and 2 days of no excercise back at the gym since yesterday, will go tomorrow and then well probably won't see it again til Tuesday :D

I just took the one day off exercise and 3 days off usual healthy eating. Still put on 5lbs. Luckily it is coming off almost as fast.

I do Christmas Day and Stephen's Day and that's it, come the 27th I slowly start to get back to normal eating habits, and do a few circuits or walks/runs. But I know that once all the madness is over and January kicks in it's back to the normal routine, so I don't beat myself up too much over relaxing a bit. I eat well and exercise for 51 weeks of the year, give or take, which is pretty darn good! ;)

I'm sickened with myself too. Add to Christmas the fact that I spent 3 weeks on holidays in November/early December. I'm now about 9lbs above where I was at the beginning of November - all fat and probably more when you consider muscle loss.

I've decided to pull back from the madness now - no alcohol tonight so that I'll be in good form for an early morning run tomorrow and a possible weight lifting session in the evening.

If I'm consistent, it'll probably take most, or all, of January to get back to where I was at the start of November - but, from there, it's onwards and upwards. 2012 will be a good year. :D

I'm enjoying my time off eating and drinking and I'm looking forward to getting back to my training tomorrow. :-)
