We saw this during the week and thought it was an excellent and most enjoyable production with some fine performances from the principals and the music and dance very well done.
BUT, damned Political Correctness showed up. In the opening scene there were girls in the orphanage and they appeared to greatly outnumber the boys. Likewise, Fagin's gang was exactly the same. Made it look ridiculous when Fagin was singing to them "You've got to pick a pocket or two, boys".
