Am only 5-8 mins in so far. Looking good.

Have to say that the timings on the upgrades/buildings/army size is very handy.

As a low level player I can easily think that I am doing well when in fact I have far too few troops/economy.

Having had a quick session with Orizio it was eye opening to see how quickly he reached 200/200 when I was still at 130 supply.

While I know the various BO's, (thanks you internet!) knowing where you should be at a given point is more important than blindly following these.

12 wins; 2 vs silver

4 losses; 2 vs silver (unscouted DT rush and mirror match)

Just going over the game you lost on Shattered:

- At 13 supply you did not build queue up an scv and delayed gas. That had an impact on the whole build. Stim timing gets delayed, push timing gets delayed.

- Build 2 additional barracks at the same time, not one by one.

- No need for 2nd gas.

Look at 6 min in the replay. You only start stim!!! The benchmark is 3:50. At this point you should know you did something wrong.

Around this time you have a huge hiccup in scv production. And on top of that HUGE supply block. Pay attention to that.

When you fight rather a-move than trying to target fire things. You focus fired this queen, killed it and the all your marines blow up on banelings. Instead stim, a-move, select all marines and pull the back a bit. This way banelings of an unexperienced zerg would blow up on marauders, mitigating A LOT of damage and saving your marines.

You are not reinforcing, not building scvs during the attack. You dont have an expo. You have only 15 scvs and float 400 minerals, 350 gas.

The game is lost at this point. I am sorry, I am not gonna finish watching it. In reality you did not hit any of the benchmarks and you did not actually do the build. But I wanted to see what other problems you have in your play.

The whole point of doing this build is to learn to have constant production, because I already made all the decisions for you

Improve mechanics. Improve macro, micro. Forget about strategy

Check the vid again and I also wrote a bunch of stuff on TL.

I am sorry for bashing your play so hard, but I hope this will help you to work on your really obvious mistakes that are rather easy to fix. No hard feelings, okay? Good luck laddering!

OK, here's some advanced build orders and strategy overview. Once again, I don't want to take anything away from Khaz but people are asking (especially on TL) what's the next level of this build?

Well, here you go. I played about 25 TvP games yesterday spread over NA and EU to great success with this build -- got to the z33k Daily Final (Monday) -- with about 65% win rate. I'm now beginning to incorporate into Tournament games.

Note: This build is insanely precise.... I've been trying to get the timings down to a T and am still struggling after ~25 games straight TvP. It's really nice, though but I've been analysing it a bit and there are some timings that Protoss can really expose. Anyway, have fun working on this build.

I think this looks OK. (Now at 14/4 W/L using this build timing)

I am annoyed that I allowed myself to get supply blocked.......so was late moving out with the 7 mad/13 marine force. 7th marauder was only ready at 8 mins.

1st attack did enough damage to allow me to expo and go again.

My macro did slip however, at one point I had 600+ minerals.

I added in the E bay to the build as I like to have it against zerg and I find that Bronze players are not great at getting upgrades. I like to get ahead on the ups.

Would another rax or 2 be a good move to strengthen your 2nd or 3rd attack? (assuming the 1st has hurt his econ)

On another note, this guy didn't seem like silver level. I didn't feel taxed at all. (And I have just got home after a night shift!)

EDIT: just played another silver player. Messed up my stim time (started at 4,23) pushed out at 8,20 mins (8/16 army) with conc nearly complete on the way, managed to hit him as he moved out (3 tank, 4 mad/10 marines, medevac) then moved in for the kill. Looking at the army size I still would have broken him. So even with a sloppy execution this build seems strong at low levels.

Just watched your replay Tenger, I know I am not as qualified as the others but I noticed that there at the end you were focussing on the hive, I would've brought all my troops into his mineral line and killed all his drones instead of trying to take the base down. At least that way if he had recovered you have mangled his economy. I like the way you got the engineering bay and the combat shields as well, they really helped you with the mutas. Goin to try and do a few more games tonight, get the execution crisp, and see how I get on. Once again, thanks to everyone who is posting in the thread and trying to help ;-) Big up the community!

If your first attack doesnt kill them, go for combat shields right after concussive shells, I think you have enough gas. In addition, you should ABSOLUTELY add 2 more rax after this, both techlabs in tvp or both reactors in tvz. tvt idk ... reactors if you wanna marine tank and techlabs if you wanna go pure bio.

Its good to see you analyze your own replays and see the mistakes you did. Keep doing that, try fixing them and that's how you get better.

I say go for it. It can't cause any harm.

Youtube has lots of Terran strats, however most of them are outdated due to patch updates over the last 12 months. And looking over some of the discussions a tutorial like this would be well received. As I said giving the exact times of when to do what gives new players a benchmark to aim for.

To reply to Arciphel above; yeah I went for the hive as I knew he was dead at that point. Killing off the drones is the better move. But I could see he had nothing else so just let my troops have fun. I also had 3-4 marines killing his expo (and zerglings as they popped out!)

Actually so am I. If I was able to watch a similar tutorial for protoss I would definitely give it a try.

(I also understand that producing such a tutorial entails a lot of work for the individual)

I agree. Apollo's tutorial is based more on preparing for everything and is more for the higher levels. Khaz tutorial works better for me. If you check out the link in my sig you can see how it has helped me advance in the bronze league even though I've only been playing a month. I still need a lot of practice though. If one thing goes wrong I fall to pieces.

Have to say I enjoyed it but now that I'm against Silver and Gold I'm fining it harder to win with the first push. I've been trying to follow it up with 2 more rax, 2 eng bays and medivac for a bioball of death but my macro isn't good enough for that yet.
