The final week of the regular season and there's still playoff spots up for grabs.

    The full list of games:

    Sunday:

    6pm:

    Bills @ Patriots

    Panthers @ Saints

    Bears @ Vikings

    Lions @ Packers

    Colts @ Jaguars

    Jets @ Dolphins

    49ers @ Rams

    Titans @ Texans

    Redskins @ Eagles

    9pm:

    Ravens @ Bengals

    Chiefs @ Broncos

    Steelers @ Browns

    Chargers @ Raiders

    Seahawks @ Cardinals

    Bucs @ Falcons

    01:30am:

    Cowboys @ Giants

The big game from my point of view as a Ravens fan is the game @ the Bengals. We need the win to stay top of the division and get the bye as there's little doubt that the Steelers will win @ the Browns. The Bengals will be up for it as they can still make the playoffs with a win, they have a sell out crowd behind them this weekend and coupled with the Ravens problems on the road it's shaping up to be a very interesting game. I have the same awful feeling I had before we played the Chargers and can see the Bengals pulling this one out of the bag :(

The majority will see Cowboys @ Giants as this weeks big one. The winner takes the division. It's essentially a one game season here to gain the upper hand in what has been a very under-performing division this season. Who will be starting their playoff campaign a week early? Questions will be asked of Romo's fitness, his hand swelling to the size of a balloon last week after clashing with a defenders helmet.

Elsewhere we have Orton V Tebow once again as the Chiefs meet the Broncos where Orton could put his old team out of the playoff race.

New York V Miami has the potential to be very interesting as the Jets need to win to have any hope of making the playoffs, they do need a lot of help anyway. Sanchez has been awful the last couple of weeks and Miami are looking good with the running game as Bush is flying.

Here's some seeding scenarios from NFL.com:

    AFC:

    NFC:

    Enjoy

Which they got by offering all season ticket holders a free ticket

It'll be a full stadium alright, only because the franchise gave away tens of thousands of free tickets.

Got to look at it this way at least the stadium will be full and they will make on concessions. Had they not thrown out free tickets the stadium would be half full and they would have lost on those seats anyways and not made any cash from concessions. Take Gillette 1 beer is either 8 or 11 depending or 8oz or 16oz. The food is also usually pretty expensive. Smart move by them to try get atmosphere into the place and push for playoffs and make some money back.

Oh it's a smart move alright

I just enjoy looking down on division rivals :p

Fans weren't expecting much coming into this season. Now the future looks bright and they have a stack of draft picks.
Season ticket sales should be well up next year

I'm looking foward to the Detroit - Green Bay match. A win in my opinion is essential for the Lions if they want any hope of making past the wild card stage of the playoffs.

I'd give them a decent chance of beating the Giants or the Cowboys (who they will face should they win), but can't see anyone bar maybe the Packers beating the Saints (who they will face should they lose & assuming the Falcons get the win against the Bucs) in their current form.

Normally I would give the Lions little chance of beating the Pack at Lambeau, but how long will McCarthy keep Rodgers & co out on the field knowing they've locked up the No.1 seed. Could make for a possible upset as the Lions haven't won there since 91:eek:

I am hopeful of a Cowboys' win. They have the ability, the question marks hang over their mentality.

The shameful thing is that with a little more mental strength, the Cowboys would have the division wrapped up at this point. The circumstances which culminated in the losses to the Giants, the Jets, the Cardinals and the Lions were unacceptable, as the team tossed away large leads, or winning plays. The loss to the Pats was 50/50,and it took a moment of Brady magic to take it for my tip for the Superbowl. The only comprehensive losses were against the Eagles, who seemed to have the measure of the Boys in defence, and the guile necessary to break down the Boys' defence.

If Romo was out, I would have full faith in Jon Kitna to spearhead a victory, however, it would appear that Kitna is sidelined for the forseeable future. Stephen McGee is alright, but Garrett would seem to be unwilling to put a great deal of faith in him, as was demonstrated in the last two games of last season, and the game against the Eagles on Christmas Eve. Such conservativism could play right into the hands of the Giants, whose QB will be given all the freedom to do what he does best.

If Romo is in, which I am led to believe he will be, then I have faith!

Romo his fine. Dallas are playing it off as if there is nothing wrong with his hand at all.

I would be super confident of us winning in Arlington but us at home doesn't inspire me with confidence.

It will be interesting to see what we do with JPP. As Osi is back. I hope Osi is only going to be there to pat the sweat off JPP's head.

Witten hasn't done much the last few games so he will probably play well against us.

Hopefully Prince can show some talent.

Really looking forward to this, especially The Broncos game, the Ravens game and the Newton-Brees showdown.

What game to watch out of the 6pm games?

I guess most will say Panthers V Saints for Newton V Brees but Jets V Miami could be interesting with the Jets needing a win (and a lot of help) to make the playoffs.

I'll be watching the AFC game
And wanting to see the Jets lose :p

Of course in the post game interview Rex Ryan will guarantee a Superbowl victory next year

6pm games look brutal, lots of teams won't be trying, but Texans-Titans should be hotly contested.

    same as that.

on a somewhat related point, will Ryan be witht eh Jets next season if they dont make it? It would be one thing if things were improving and they were going about their business, but all is bluffing and mouthing must surely rankle with the owners and fans, who would surely prefer to see results rather than ridiculous promises. by publically and so loudly proclaiming them to be the best, has he dug his own hole?

He'll be there. He may be the most annoying man on the planet and he has his fair share of critics, but all that aside he's one of the best coaches in the league and an absolutely genius defensive play caller. Jets would be mad to get rid, not that they'd ever consider it imo.

That and the players love him, don't know why you'd fire tbh.

Dont know if its true but heard him and nemeth are always at it.
People just growing tired of him and his antics.
He seems like a decent coach, but at the minute he aint getting the job done.

Rob Ryan is equally as annoying. With the talk of coaches Steve Spagnuolo is apparently going to be an Eagle again next season.

Must be something about New York, loud and brash

Another record almost broken is the most penalties and most penalty yards. This team only needs 3 penalties for 10 yards to set a new NFL record.

No prizes for guessing who :)

Whichever team Flozell Adams is playing for.

A lot of players being rested today; Rodgers, McCoy, Foster, Clay Matthews and Charles Woodson are all inactive but Andre Johnson should see some snaps.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,174 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

I see Rodgers is inactive along with Woodson,Matthews and Starks! Foster and McCoy out as well so MJD wins the rushing title?

What an opportunity later for the Ravens if the Bills can see out a win against the Patriots.

    Hernandez makes it 21-14.

the defence is like butter for that first quarter. absolutley shocking. 2 fourth down conversions thrown in for the Bills as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,599 ✭✭✭matthew8

I would LOVE if the Ravens had 2 premier receiving tight ends like Hernandez and Gronkowski. It just makes such a huge difference to the Pats offense.

Colts doing a nice job in Jacksonville.

Panthers offense looks absolutely incredible. Scary to think that this is what they're like with a rookie. They're going to be very good with their MLB back next year.

Beason? Given that he could be the best MLB in the league now, that defence will vastly improve yeah.

Amazing how many interceptions Sanchez throws, considering how conservatively he throws the football.

The jets really need a new qb. Sanchez has to be one of the worst at throwing the ball

    Curse ya

    Bills miss the FG

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,658 ✭✭✭✭Peyton Manning

Lions robbed of a perfectly legitimate TD. This league has some really terrible rules.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,658 ✭✭✭✭Peyton Manning

Newton has 3,999 passing yards. My math skills tell me he only needs one more to reach 4,000 on the year. Phenom.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,224 ✭✭✭✭SantryRed

Gabbert is such a fcuking bitch. Fcuksake. Does he think those marks under his eyes make him more manly? Jags should throw this game. Get higher up and hope to get RG3.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 4,145 Mod ✭✭✭✭bruschi

Patriots stopped with first down on the 1. FG makes it 21-20. Defence at least is improved, Brady still not clicking right though, a few mis placed passes to Gronk, Welker and unfortunate on a deep ball to Ochocinco.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,224 ✭✭✭✭SantryRed

Allen on to break Strahan's sack record. Needs just 1 more.
