Haven't really followed the SPL this year, but last time I seen it, Rangers were 10+ points ahead of Celtic. Shocked to see the distance is only a point now.

    Should be a cracking match.

    Teams:

Rangers: McGregor; Broadfoot, Bartley, Bocanegra, Papac; Aluko, Davis, McCulloch, Wallace; Jelavic, Lafferty.

Celtic: Forster; Matthews, Rogne, Mulgrew, Ledley; Brown, Kayal, Wanyama; Forrest; Hooper & Samaras

Have a Twitter list of footballers. All but Corry Evans are shouting for Celtic!

Really couldn't care less who wins. Just hope it's a good game of football.

I'm not following him, that's why I missed him! He was really annoying for a while.

I think the momentum is with Celtic for this match.

Celtic's look strong up front and midfield, am concerned about that make-shift back 4 though. Definitely will be exploited by Rangers. I don't expect a clean sheet, Rangers will hit at least one, maybe two - it's all about how midfield can control it and whether Hooper and Sammy take their chances.

Nice build up play, tidy finish too.

Who was your fella taking the corner?! Why didn't he put the ball nearer the end line so that by the time it rolled up to the edge of the circle, he'd have been ready to take it.

    I swear...footballers...

They aren't the brightest alright. You can't hit a moving ball anyway.

    Crazy wind

Yeah the ball can't be rolling but not much you can do about nature!

Where's the fire the ref blows right on half time

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 1,220 ✭✭✭the realpigiron

I'd be inclined to get Stokes on here and put Samaras out left.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,340 ✭✭✭TheBuilder

Wind causing all sorts of problems. Don't know what Samaras was complaining about, the ref blew the whistle before the ball had even got close to him.

Wallace's header was over the line as well.

A damp squib on a damp night in Glasgow, ball was definitely over the line. Let's hope the second half is better.

The ref blew early, normally at least a minute would be played at the end of a half. The linesman could not signal a goal for Wallace's header, it was inconclusive.

    No dice buddy.

Probably more to do with the fact the whistle went 45.01, Kayal was down 4 atleast 30 seconds plus on or two others u'd have expected atleast a
Minute, good chance Samara's was clean through.

    Definate goal for Wallace

Cheers Sone, let us off the hook there. Rangers had the best 2 chances, Celtic controlling the game a bit more. McGregor looking very dodgy.

The referee is under no obligation to add any time at half time, he can add it on at 90. Also, is there proof Sky's clock wasn't off? :P

He hasn't blown early as he's deemed there no need for additional time. And so what if the lino couldn't signal, it's still over the line. Fantastic save by the keeper though.

    From the BBC
2040: Who would be a linesman? I have been watching several replays of the Lee Wallace header. It's so-o-o hard to say if the ball crossed the line before Fraser Forster parried it clear. I'm now thinking it was, fractionally, a good goal. I don't think I'll be donning the wee tight black shorts any time soon.

Think i'll give the second half a miss...

The officials can't give a goal if they are not sure

I know. But it was a goal. That's all I'm saying.

    From the BBC

Not saying the linesman could've seen it mate, its just another example of big decisions being missed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,461 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

Can't blame officials for not giving it, but if Rangers fan it's annoying im sure.

And you can say it all you want but they couldnt give it because they wernt sure. Another one of the many examples as to why we need goal line technology.
