Burning 3 pounds a week through exericse without hitting plateau

I'm currently trying to lose weight, and am now burning about 2 pounds a week through caloric restriction without exercise. However, I would like to start burning 3 - 4 pounds a week by adding exercise. I am worried however that even if I do eat above 50% of my daily caloric intake per day, that I may still hit a plateau. Would I be safe burning weight over the space of about 2-3 months by eating 50 - 55% of my daily caloric intake and exercise calories burnt together, or is this still risking a diet plateau, and stalled metabolism?

Generally speaking what helps you avoid a stalled metabolism is to eat.

I'd suggest giving more details, what you eat per day, what you have planned as exercise and your current height, weight etc.

What's your height and weight? Male or female? And what are you basing this diet off? You are currently eating 1000cals under maintenance is that correct?
