Dicynodont fossils found in Tasmania

    Found this article on a newly discovered dicynodont from Tasmania. The article describes it as a "great survivor" yet it is about 250 million years old which doesn´t seem much surprising to me.

    For a moment I thought it was about the OTHER dicynodont from Australia, the one that lived during the Cretaceous a VERY LONG time after its relatives were gone in the rest of the world. Now that was impressive!
