He's all flash, quality over quantity. Reminds me of Luis Garcia. Give me a Richard Dunne or a Jamie Carragher who do it week in, week out any day of the week

Reminds me of that Palace own goal a few years ago in the PL. :)

Someone's been reading mediawatch on F365!

Love the way he gets the first interception on the clip and then pegs it back to catch up with his man. Hes probably thinking "not over my dead body will they score".....as he soars through the air

It ended up an OG, but I still can't work out what he was actually trying to do there.

    Anyway, another classic....

Can't find it on You Tube but Real Madrid's Manuel Sanchis' own goal against Tenerife in the early nineties will take some beating. In the dying minutes of the game (and the season) he attempted a huge lob from out wide on the half-way line back to his keeper. Flew over the keeper's head into the net and handed Barcelona the league.

That wasn't an own goal, hit the post and comes back out and it's tapped in!

That game has everything, smashing free kick from madrid and two great goals from tenerife.

Oh Really !! I suppose it was over 20 years ago - must be Alzeihmers :D

It was a brilliant end to the season, I remember that! I was in Barcelona at the time and went out into the town to celebrate. Amazing scenes

jonathan woodgate on his debut for Real Madrid, scored an own goal with a header back from near the half way line as far as I can remember, then he got sent off a few mins later, can't link it from my phone, but I will tomorrow.

The Woodgate own goal was inside his own penalty area, not his own half.

Was at that game. Would have been easily 25 to 30 yards from goal when he hit it.

I think it was before the pass back rule as well, so managing to chip your own goalie from outside the box when he is still in his six yard box doesn't look good on the goalie either way.

Here is another, love how the opposition celebrate like they have just scored goal of the season.
