At the AGM on the wall there was a calendar on printout broken down by province. I guess that it just has not been put up into the CI google calendar at the moment. why? Probably because they are too busy doing other stuff.

That thread title led me to false hope that CI were doing a Cycle Passion-esque calendar. :(

... it's a definite improvement on the last time I saw you, Miss July

The problem is that my missus has all her running engagements sorted out already, getting first dibs on everything. My weak protestations of "but there might be a race on that day" have been ground under her Asics. Having said that, I would most likely have lost out anyway.

Draft versons have came out in December previously!

Tbh, if there were already drafted in November for the AGM, I wouldn't have thought it would be a big job to put them on the website.

Forgive my ignorance but does the Gorey 3 Day take the same routes each year or are there some differences?

Ah sure the races are the same every year, why bother with a calendar at all.

How is anyone international supposed to attend these "International Stage Races" on Easter weekend when the sum total of information on them is a post on some random message board confirming that they on on at Easter!

Fair play to the off-road commission for having their calendar published for over a month now.

Is anyone here an international rider wondering when Gorey and Rás Mumhan are on?

Yeah Stg 1 Tallaght- Gorey, Stg 2 TT, Stg 3 Gorey-Crannford-Camolin-Gorey circuit, Stg 4 Gorey - Blessington. 3 by approx 100km stages and an 8km TT. Always oversubscribed so when entries open get in early if planning a first assault!

Regarding the calendar while it would be good to have it earlier if you picked up a copy of the handbook from the last three or four years you'll find very little change in race dates. Most race organisers try to keep their dates and courses similar from year to year. The Easter races are set in stone at this stage and no entries will be taken yet.

Hardly unreasonable to look for the 2012 calendar in January 2012?

If we are going to take such a relax approach to this, why is the deadline to submit events for inclusion setback in September?

because it has to be collated, checked, typeset(?), printed in draft format (pdf), sent back to the regions for their checks, errors corrected, resent to printers, final check printed in the handbook and finally put up on Google calendar for us to look at.

I have it done now and we are just checking it so it will be on the site on Monday 9th Jan.

    hope this is ok?

I hope that you are not correct with that-the Tour of Ulster is on May bank holiday weekend every other year. The Tour of the North is on at Easter I think

This is a draft and subject to change but I would think its fairly close. Will have to check the event for the 19th Feb though.

I find it's a bit more readable if you click on "Agenda".

But just be careful with the notifications as I just got a slew of emails for every event on the calendar in my inbox

Why is location not one of the fields in the event description. I would class that as pretty important but then again everytime the calendar comes out I whine about the same thing so I doubt I'll ever see it. If someone told me about an event one of the first things I'd ask is WHERE.

Click through on Details and you'll usually find it there.
