The Van Nistelrooy one against Fulham (2002-03?), was one of the best individual efforts I have ever seen.

Strange omission.

List looks decent to me OP. Oh wait you probably support Liverpool.

The Guardian is renowned for it's fairness and impartiality IN ALL MATTERS.

If Gerrard's not on the list he doesn't deserve to be. List's like this are never subjective.

Completely agree, however the ball came off his shin, and so really, he got lucky. Obviously he had to demonstrate remarkable athleticism, timing and technique to even get as close as he did, but the fact is, he miscued it and so IMO, it doesn't deserve mention alongside some of the other great goals, such as DiCanio's v Wimbledon, or Rooney's v Newcastle

Henry against United is my favourite Arsenal goal in the premiership, followed closely by Bergkamp against Newcastle.

Trevor Sinclair's overhead kick was the best goal I've seen in the Premieship era and it's not even in this top 50.

Edit : I've since been told that Sinclair's was in the FA Cup, so ignore my post.

I always think arguing over lists like these is pretty redundant.

At the end of the day, this list is just compiled of a sample of opinions.
We all have our own favourite goals and people will disagree with us,it's an opinionated subject.

my favourite is Cole vs Newcastle in a 2-0 win 96ish?, only ever see the finish not the full build up, 1 goalie throw 2 1st time passes and a 1st time finish.

What? as a Liverpool fan I would say after the fowler vs Villa goal, Gerrard vs. Boro is best strike from a Liverpool player in the premier league.

Di Canio against Wimbledon for me. Some quality goals before and since then but nothing has topped that in my view.

Bergkamp v Leicester is the best goal and it's really that close. The usual likes of Beckham or Le Tissier will dominate I'd say. Elmander is a good shout, Torres v Blackburn too, Scholes v Bradford, Yeboah, Fowler's overhead kick away to Charlton, van Persie's volley v Charlton..
