I hope it goes to Damian Lewis for Homeland but could be another for Cranston's collection

    No Community again. Sigh.

I wouldn't even mind if something decent took it's place, but Glee? Episodes? Just no.

Is Boss worth watching? I remember reading pretty mixed reviews when it started, so I didn't bother with it...

It got MUCH better as it went on, Grammer is gripping to watch, a stunning performance!...his award nod recognises his powerful tour-de-force screen presence.

Some of the stuff Tom Kane does is shocking, i won't spoil or of you want read the heavily spoiled Boss thread :)

And don't take my word for it, others have embraced it also ;)

By ep. 4 it really kicks off.

Nikki Finke is SCATHING in her analysis of the HFPA and the GG in general...imo, she's right. There is NO WAY Callie Thorne should have been nominated for Nesscary Roughness or for that matter Piper Perabo last year for Covert Affairs.

USA has clearly greased palms!!!!....in all honesty, do either of these shows/actresses deserve a nomination??????????

    http://www.deadline.com/2011/12/2012-golden-globes-nikkis-non-analysis/#more-205448

These two show are hardly quality offerings, let alone award worthy!

And in this case Richard's right - it gets very good from the fourth episode onwards. They kick in with a decent arc and we get to see the grubby side of Chicago politics.
Kelsey Grammar deserves the praise (and GG nomination). This ain't Frasier.

Have to say 30 rock went to the dogs last season , Alec always throws in a solid shift, but the writing is gone stale to say the least.

Yes, they will be broadcast on E!

Hope Boardwalk Empire gets something, great show,

I think best drama winner is between Homeland and Boardwalk Empire

Michael Pitt, Jack Huston and Michael Shannon were all unfairly snubbed for best supporting actor but there is one supporting actor category at the Globes

Hope Game of Thrones wins something. Can't see it happening though.

There's some kind of bad blood between Ryan Seacrest and Angelina Jolie, I can't remember exactly what. The death-stare she gave him when he was talking to her on the red carpet was hilarious.

Missed nothing, wasn't great at all.

Me too. Looks like we missed the first couple of minutes of the show. But the opening titles, intro, RG walking on stage probably took up over half that, so I don't think we missed too much.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,850 ✭✭✭FouxDaFaFa

I thought it was just my feed but it's the actual E channel that keeps cutting in this damn Kardashian ad over and over during speeches. It's insane.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,323 ✭✭✭✭MrStuffins

    What's with all the bleeping?

They bleeped out "Jodie Foster's Beaver" earlier. Uncool!

Good Lord, Rob Lowe needs to lay of the fake tanner. He looks like an Oompah Loompah.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,136 ✭✭✭✭expectationlost

    downton abbey booo!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,810 ✭✭✭take everything

Where the hell is Ricky Gervais?
Lowe made light of that faux pas nicely.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,323 ✭✭✭✭MrStuffins

What happened there? The prompter stopped working or something?

Also, i don't normally watch these things, anyone know why they just seemingly randomly introduced Andie McDowall's daughter onto the stage? What was that about? Was it part of the joke that went bad?
