After a flash of lightening yesterday which tripped the tripswitches in the house the HD output on my Sky HD box has stopped working. It is ok through the scart. It must have become disabled by the power surge and I wonder does anyone how to reenable it before I ring Sky.

have you tried rebooting the box?

also have you checked the sky box is still set to output via hdmi,

have you tried another hdmi lead from blu-ray player/ps3/xbox.

I tried rebooting and the HD Resolution Output is set to 1080i which I presume is right but I'll try a different lead tomorrow, just in case. I haven't used the hdmi connection for a while as the tv was just switched on and off on the scart so it may not have anything to do with the lightening at all. It could have been faulty for a few days and I just didn't notice.

Could be a fault on the tv also.
