There will also be some RubberBandit action on Friday ...
THE RUBBERBANDITS are to appear on the Late Late Show this Friday night, their second appearance in under 12 months on the show.

The news was confirmed by the ‘Bandits official spokesperson, who noted that “even Bono has never achieved such an illustrious milestone”.

“The Director General of RTE, LL Cool J, said it was an unprecedented event in RTE’s history and is a true testament to the influence and impact that the Rubberbandits have had on modern Irish society,” added the band’s spokesperson, tongue firmly lodged in cheek.

There is always next week Liz, Louis loves attention so he might be saving himself for the last LLS before Christmas.

Delighted Tommy Tiernan is on - hopefully he will make Tubs feel as uncomfortable as possible. He hasn't been on live TV since Gerry Ryan hosted the LLS in 2008 after which he got into a lot of trouble. He's calmed down a lot and his new DVD is much more like his earlier material and not the OTT out to insult anyone and everyone type of stuff he has been doing for the past number of years.Still though, I'd love one of his mad performances just because Tubs wouldn't know what to do.

I'm a big fan of Tommy Tiernan, I think he is hilarious (most of the time).

Tommy Tiernan will feature on “Dave’s One Night Stand” tomorrow night, Thursday, December 15th at 9pm on DAVE Comedy Channel (Sky 111)
Tommy takes to the stage in Wexford in the last of Dave's One Night Stands, supported by Stewart Francis and Lloyd Langford.

Tiernan has a dvd coming out I presume?

Cue "offensive" comments and usual "angry" response.

RTÉ have been advertising this week's Late Late Show with clips since Monday at least so I'd say this show has been pre-recorded.

I've had a look at the promo and they appear to be using clips from previous LLS appearances. RTE have had to issue so many apologies recently, I wouldn't be surprised if they did decide to pre-record Tommy's interview as he can be a bit of a loose cannon.

I hardly watch RTE these days so I don't know if this now standard practice but RTE ran a trailer for it with guests named last night, or is it a taped edition?

Tommy Tiernan is the only name I recall.

    Thats not real is it?

Are we living thru the fall of rome?

I'm afraid it is 100% real

And you can hear Louis talk about it on tomorrow's Saturday Night Show

    http://www.rte.ie/ten/2011/1216/saturdaynightshow.html
Louis Walsh will likely face tough questioning over dressing up as Cheryl Cole in pictures which Heat Magazine published this week when he takes a seat with Brendan O'Connor, tomorrow on the Saturday Night Show.

(Cheeky plug for The SNS on the LLS thread there, hope nobody minds :))

I was just thinking in the week that's in it, i'd love sombody like Shane Meadows to be on the late late show, then i thought "what's the point" ...the interview would be wasted on the late late...

"so shane ya make the movies?"
    "have you any irish connections?"

Tommy Tiernan, cringe. Expect the usual vulgarity and coarse language; useless sh!te!

Hamilton should be interesting. Let's hope Tubs for once conducts a decent interview. George should have plenty of tales

What's the point? Not an orchestra, they're all playing the same chords on the same instrument. This sort of thing should be confined behind closed doors, like Alcoholics Anonymous.
